@@WhiteboardMedicine I feel like I need to add it was before disposable vent tubing. We had to soak it in cidex, brush and then hang to dry in a heated dryer. Once that done it was packaged and sealed. Yuck !! Also learned to draw ABG’s in a glass syringe. We would heparinize the needles prior. Afterwards, the glass syringes were washed and dried. Double yuck !! This was before the hep B vaccine came out. How we didn’t all get Hepatitis I will never know.
If in volume control and you select a decelerating ramp pattern (which seems to be the recommendation) then the scalers look much different … more like what you would see if the patient was in pressure control. To piggyback off this, when in volume control performing an inspiration hold, should the ventilator be set to a square waveform flow pattern for the most accurate plateau pressure measurement?

I graduated from a respiratory therapy program in 1985…almost 40 years ago. We were using the MA1-1 with the bellows 😂
Love it, thanks for sharing!

If a patient not getting there correct volume? How do you fix it? What are some ways to increase back there volume?
Can make videos on simv vc+ ,simv prvc
We will add these to the list!
