Hearing Sir Christopher Lee & John Rhys Davies' Speeches was so beautiful. Lee's in particular struck me, as his filmography, while diverse and had a ton of hits, was filled with alot of crap, and often type casted roles. He had worked with so many crews throughout the years, from Hammer, to Universal & Warner Brothers. And here comes this crew, basically an indie crew, all the way from New Zealand, and they make his dream of being in a LotR's film, a reality.
I wish the scene of the Rohan and Gondor Soldier putting Aragorn's armor on made it into the extended edition. Such a cool scene with lots of symbolism.
This preparation and planning just showcases the beauty of these films. I thought rings of power would come close or surpass this with their infinite resources and budget. Amazon blew it big time and it only strengthened my love for these films and PJ’s team
I'm currently having a lot of copy right issues with uploading the two towers appendices. It is blocking the video every time. I will keep trying. If I can't upload them next, then the hobbit appendices will be uploaded.
I wonder how much fun it was working with Peter Jackson. I mean he's the Director and all so he's got the weight of the movie on his back, but at times it looked like he could've been a pretty good guy to work with!
Best movies ever made. I count myself lucky to have seen them all at the cinemas at their times or release, and have collected so many WETA workshop statues I feel spoiled .Good luck to any future remakes of this trilogy; it really doesn't ever have to be done, but if it is.... these originals are so good in my eyes they will inevitably hold up to anything. Perfectly cast, perfectly filmed. Perfectly put together at just the right moment in time in the cinema world. Were it made today, it would be a Netflix special and forgotten about in a month with the way they make their shows. The industry is ruined with foolish cultural behavior designed to force unnecessary narratives, and break immersion. LOL, 20+ years later and Amazons...The Rings of Power... is a disgusting woke fest with no heart. PLEEAAASSEEE PETER and WETA... make the silmarillion!!!. I have unfortunate doubts on the Hunt for Gollum being drawn out over 2 movies but I hope I am wrong.
They just wanted his name, but upon asking for the script ( which they knew he would try to change for the better without their narratives and so on ) they straight up ghosted him.
I think a sense of community is essentially what Tolkien was writing about in LOTR, and there's a sense of community captured by both the story and by all the cast in these films. It seems more poignant as time goes on, and technology takes over our lives. I watch the films and I wish that life was like this, I feel like people have forgotten how to care about each other.
I cringe every time I here "Sare-roo-man". Like, weren't you on set for pretty much the entire filming of all three films, and you still pronounce it like that? 😂

It's always amazing how crappy everything looks in real life when they shoot the scenes vs. after all the editing and CGI effects.
