I'm a huge believer of not just building a business that you're proud of, that makes a lot of money and allows you to do the work you believe in, but also a business that allows you to own your time so that you are able to do the things you actually like and also have time to make an impact outside of your business with your family, in your community and doing things that give you life and energy.
So when I come across anyone who's preaching that message, I want to scoop up that resource and apply it to my life and business to help me improve that concept even further. And a book that I just read is called ”Buy Back Your Time” by Dan Martell. I was able to get Dan on the show and we had an incredible conversation that you're about to enjoy.
Dan is an entrepreneur, multi eight figure entrepreneur, multiple times angel investor, he's become a highly sought after coach in the SAS industry after exiting three technology companies within a 10 year period. He's also an Ironman athlete, philanthropist, husband, and father of two incredible boys. I really enjoyed this conversation because the book is not only phenomenal, but it's very tangible. I know that after listenting to this, you will walk away with new nuggets of wisdom on time, life and business. So sit back, relax, and enjoy my conversation with Dan Martell!
    In this episode you'll learn:
    - Why relationships are essential to business and how to build powerful networks
    - How Dan's time and energy audit works and how you can apply it to your business
    - How to actually calculate when the time is right to hire a team member
    Hope you enjoy!
    - Graham

I love this episode. When Dan said to consider that by buying back our time, we’re providing an opportunity for someone else. That really resonated with me.
Thank you so much for this podcast.

Powerful and honest discussion. I was listening while doing some work but stopped everything and just listened during the last 10 minutes as Dan went further into his story. Incredible transformation.

Naaah, this was an extremely huge lesson through my experience that time can't be bought be back specially if it is wasted on unworthy stuff or people, procrastination has a different definition that someone is intentionally delaying or dodging something for later time, persistence is different✌️

    Hey Graham, GREAT content!!!
On another note, I've always been curious why do you use the camera like that... You see those horizontal lines that appears when you move your hand? that happens because you selected 1080i instead of 1080p (or 4k) on any point of the recording process... Check your camera and software and select the p option instead of the i option

Funny I always believed in this concept....I had to make room for it...I'm moving to another city--when I get settled I want to implement the things your guest talked about ...it's a confirmation that I was thinking right....networking and building people up is the name of the game.....right where we live ...in our communities....

Great convo...getting out of old mindsets is difficult. We were taught work work work our parents had to work 2 and three jobs to make it. If your not doing do you kind of of feel less than especially if you don't have the money to show for it

Buying back your time can come in many forms, you don't necessarily have to buy/hire exactly how Dan does. For example, lets say you only have one frying pan that you have to spend time washing to use. In that case, buying back your time could mean getting a second frying pan. Think about your life and the mundane repeative tasks that take you away from really pushing the needle forward.

I would love to start an online business amd make lots of money 😉😉 but my biggest blockage is not knowing what I wanna teach because everytime I think I've got it, something stops me or I realise it's not really what I want to create content and products on and then I think about the content marketing and product research it just stops me.
How do you get rid of that hurdle????

Hi Anna, I believe you just got to start creating. Don’t feel you have to get it perfect. For so long I thought I had to settle on the ONE right thing but then I realized that I can always pivot and I’ll NEVER start if I think it has to be perfect. Graham has a good video on imposter syndrome. It might help you. 😊

S.A.A.S stands for 'software as a service'. It refers to the subscription model of software services like quickbooks online, canva, or Dropbox.
