Sony TV Showing App Screen - How To Disable Bravia Notifications

Want to clear the Sony HOME screen on your Sony TV and get out of the Sony apps? Follow this video and you'll be back in business!
Sony recently did an update and it is making their TVs go directly to their apps screen when you turn them on. It's clearly a way for them to make some streaming bucks and it's a pain in the neck. You can clear these "Bravia Notifications" by:
Push the WRENCH button on the remote
Scroll to EDIT
Uncheck BRAVIA NOTIFICATIONS
Your Sony TV should behave and you can get back to watching Peep Show, 1883, This is Us, Halo or other great shows!
