We don't need another bank. All we need is precious metals, and a non-profit that provides liquidity for securing collateral with zero interest, with a haircut percentage that protects the institution and gives the incentive for the metal holder to retrieve his asset and settle the debt.
Antonopoulos isn't so much of a btc bull as he is a fiat bear. He says in his sinking ship analogy that any 'lifeboat' is a better bet than fiat. That's metals, crypto, bonds in some circumstances. Basically anything that's not tied to currency debasement.

@@theusersol I think people with money in btc have interpreted it that way due to inescapable emotional bias derived from having financial exposure to bitcoin. Bitcoin is just one of the potential lifeboats and would seem like the 'victor' in crypto investing if you listen to the btc marketing guys. Pomp, Saylor etc etc. Spend 2-3 hours reading up on the life work of David Schwartz. If you still think bitcoin is the answer then at least you had access to more information to make an informed decision. Technology and utility will win against viral marketing in the long run.
Why does raoul believe that CBDC will use a blockchain? Shows the tech misunderstanding - it’ll simply be a traditional database. There’s no use for them to do anything else

Because China digital yuan is blockchain and it’s already in use and all the countries say they will use blockchain
