Thanks so much!! You both had great stories. I really enjoy listening to your mysteries being solved!

Glad you liked it, Noah. Mike is an amazing historian and a true professional in the museum business. I have helped him another non-firearm project. The staff there is great to work with. I plan to go back this winter and assist with their catalog of saddles.

Where might we find more info concerning Mike Kassel’s books?

The museum is closed at the moment. I suggest calling the main number which is available on the website. Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. Google will take you there.

Enjoyed the presentation greatly. How did a firearm from India come to be in Wyoming and then in state museum. Has to be a story or two there!

Cheyenne attorney donated a large collection of outstanding firearms to the Old West Museum. Accession documents report his son purchased the Enfield in London in the 1950s. It came to the Old West Museum with the larger collection. My assumption is it went back to England at some point, was polished and the stock replaced to appeal to tourists as a souvenir. Which it apparently did.

Hi, I have a parker hale enfield muscketoon in. 577, they are very accurate up to 200-300yards, the Pritchett bullet was the key to that (and the progressive rifling) all the best from sunny Troon Scotland (yes we do have guns, I even own a ar 15)😊

Had to look up Pritchett bullets. Thanks for the information. Is the progressive rifling the same thing as gain twist?
