She has more options on where her kids will be educated. And she has more options on how to plan her retirement and the life she'll have should she need eldercare assistance. She may have less options than a man of equal wealth, though at that comfort level, I wonder how impactful the practical difference would be - maybe the man would feel more comfortable to go on a night time jog whereas she'd feel safer indoors on her brand new Pelaton? 36whitedove I’m sorry. I actually haven’t received any gift from god. Is that through amazon? or an Etsy store. What I’ve done has been through hard work and chance.
I agree that you shouldn't try to be something you're not, but a lot of women for centuries have been told to act a way that isn't actually natural. There's nothing wrong with being feminine, it's just that some of us are naturally more masculine (such as myself) and we should be allowed to be that way (as long as we aren't infringing on someone else's rights.
It’s not about competing with masculine energies. Some women are born with natural highly masculine traits, and instead of being lauded and embraced my society like their highly masculine male counterparts, they’re treated with disgust and revulsion. Male and society at-large only want a shy and demure stereotype of women to exist, so they can conquer over them and feel like heroes. It’s all a bout sustaining the male ego, and not about every woman expressing her unique nature. It’s great if you’re a naturally feminine woman. That should be embraced and is a gift. Unfortunately some feminine women like to “pretend” to be masculine, and become very unhappy in their lives as a result of it. On the other hand, some women are born androgynous, and have both highly feminine and masculine traits. But society spurns a woman like this who speaks her mind truthfully and without reserve. Apparently only “men” have that privilege.

That's funny.
Lol
I feel the opposite. I feel patronized if a man doesn’t hold the door open for me.
lol I can't tell if you're joking or not.
There's more to this story than reported, she divorced him then complained when she got nothing
She was not divorced yet.
She put all her money ( a lot) to his business and now left with nothing.
He died and afterward she discovered he had cut her out of his will, and left her with nothing after they had been married for over 30 years. And she had put all of her money into her marriage and his businesses. They never divorced.
She cared for him right up until the day he died, regardless of their marital status.
@@julia393n once she decided to get a new boyfriend then she was not entitled to any of his money
After the fall of the wall a woman could write that she had an interest in feminism on a grant application and get the grant to go west.
Reality slaps
Rick O left her out of his Will. So sad...
Not only that, he stole her money too.
He must obviously have his reasons.....she mustve done something horrendous!
@@kjbennie9245 Oh, like still bringing him his coffee even though they were splitting up? That is how she found him dead, you see. No, Ocasek was being a petty, vindictive POS to her, and by cutting her out of the will, he stole the money that she had earned while they were married.
@@AnastaciaInCleveland yaa I'm thinking now he was probably the one who caused all the problems. Well she seems to be in a good place now 😊. Hope it works out with her new man
@@kjbennie9245 I hope so, too! 🙂
for any reasons the youtube algorithm didn´t spread the video of this awsome, entertaining and inspirational speech.
Now, Jan 2022 let´s try together and give it a 2nd try !!!
She’s just explaining why men don’t date her
Dude if that's all you can get out of this, congrats, this video is made for people like you.
So sweet, funny and brilliant, wonderful!!!!
Awesome person!!!
I can assure you it is even harder for men to be a man in this age
funny , stay at home wives expect that their husbands do half the wife's job at home, but the wife never does half of the husbands work at his job
True.
I think in this video, the wives she mentioned also worked full time.
My mother and grandmothers especially, have worked with men in fields and with animals. Same hard work. I never heard that men have helped clean the house.
Umm->Excruciating childbirth. That’s worth billions. Ante up.
Being a full time mom is EXAUSTING. It's a 24h job, just a mental exaushtion to think about doctors meetings, grocery list, home care, nanny, taking care of the kids, cleaning the home...
The "husband" does a 8h job and get back home to not think about job anymore, and put his feet under the table. Do you call that fair? NO!
All anyone really needs to do to see the bent of most TEDx talk people is to see the videos they have "turned off comments" for. I am totally surprised they haven't for this one.
10:16 nice use of the term " clam up"
is she the one who cry bc no man want to talk to her bc she old now?
She isn't old and has a Partner
You chose a career where you are objectified and promote the very objectification of all girls and women. When you knew better and had money, did you do better? No, still modeling, still whining in interviews about how older women are judged and dismissed. Really?! Jesus H Christ woman, you are part of that reason. That's irony.
And apparently, she hated modelling !! Gooo figure
When your career is failing after your looks have worn out... cash in on identity politics.
