Tippi Hendren is an amazing actress. I saw her in " The Birds " and I fell in love with that movie. I had one of the great honors of my life when I spoke to her about the making of that movie. She answered all of my questions and at the end I asked her about what happened with the two main characters of the movie as we saw them drive off in her little sports car to the hospital through the flock of birds, we never knew what happened to these two characters. She paused for a few moments and seemed to be so surprised by my question. I knew that I was the only person who had asked her this. After she got over her initial surprised she answered me. " Will, they got married and lived happily ever after ! " Yes a great actress and a CLASSIC movie !!!!

She said in this interview that Hitchcock didn't lay a hand on her.
In another interview she said that he forcefully grabbed her.
So which one is it Tippi?
Not saying that Hitchcock wasn't a creep and didn't act inappropriately or come on to her, because he probably did.
I'm not defending the man in any way, but........
What I'm saying is, if you want to be viewed as credible, you can't be changing your story like that from interview to interview.
Beautiful woman and fine actress. Someone like Hitchcock would be taken down today, and rightfully so.
There's no excuse for treating women like that. If you want her, but she doesn't want you, then you move on.
He threatened her career and she had a young daughter and parents depending on her financially .
As a director, he was Great. As a human being, not so much.

As I commented on another video about Tippi, Janet Leigh another lovely looking woman has always said Hitch was nice towards her when doing Pyscho. I agree with u, I think Hitch fancied his leading ladies, maybe he couldn't help it. After all, look how he looked, he was no Rock Hudson. I thought he was a movie genius tho, love his films. But u r right, you have to get the story right, so which one is the truth. Cheers

    • @mtp4430
      @mtp4430 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@pikemeredith5604 Yeah, that's all I was saying too. There can only be one truth, so which one is it?
And yes, Hitchcock was a great director. Definitely in the Genius category. And certainly not a good looking man by any stretch of the imagination as you stated.
But the man had a great sense of what worked on camera. He created great suspense with many iconic scenes utilizing unique camera angles and editing.
As for his personality flaws and quirks, that's a whole separate issue.

Tippi, mentioned that she wanted to leave the set of, Marnie, to attend an awards night. Apparently she wanted to leave on the Thursday to attend the awards on Friday, then come back to the studio on Monday.
Hitch at the time, along with the studio, couldn't afford to stop filming. Reason being, Sean Connery, was to leave to film Gold Finger, so it was a time crunch. Plus the fact they were paying, Connery, $200k for playing in, Marnie. They needed to get the film finished.
Now the studio has letters from the organisation that was hosting the awards stipulating the awards were to take place on Wednesday, not Friday. So these documents tell a different story to what, Tippi, is telling everyone.
On another note, Tippi, says that, Hitch, ruined her career. Perhaps that's true, but why would you take a bit part in a film by Charlie Chaplin, when you were a headline star of 2 previous films? Doing that is committing career suicide.
It's very easy to say things of a person when they are dead. She was silent, and opened up many years later. Even co stars and crew have stated opposite views compared to what, Tippi, has stated. So who is telling the truth?
PS: Crew of the film , "Roar", have said working for, Tippi, wasn't a pleasant experience, and that it was a miracle no one was killed during the filming of that movie.

Tippy is a timeless classy, highly intelligent lady of a natural charm and beauty. She appears to be a very wise person with what one tends to call in astrology; an 'old' soul. No offense at all!; this has nothing to do with her (respectable!) physical age, but is all about the spiritual gathering of wisdom through previous lives' experiences. She's a true, double(!) Capricorn ♑ (both Sun + Rising Sign); this is quite unique and very significant if one would like to learn about and try to describe her shining personality through precious information provided by the planets and the stars!❇ I sincerely hope she may still have plenty, beautiful and healthy years yet to come in her life!💗

Those are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to that film.
