If there's one main compliment I love to give to Trippie on this album, is that the posthumous features were made FOR him with the verses being sang/rapped with his songs in mind. Trippie and Juice freestyled their verses together and the X verse was from his past song Ghostbusters. Much more respectful and proper tributes than the whole Pop Smoke and X albums fiasco.

Really? I think he sounds super repetitive throughout most of the album. It’s doing very well in terms of sales having over 70k the first week but it’s aesthetically lacking in diversity. Not sure how he’s still relevant tbh.

Molly Hearts, Baki, Miss The Rage, MP5, and Danny Phantom have some of my favourite beats of the year... Matt Hardy has one of my favourite Juice verses OAT and a beautiful toning down of the beat for a nice send off... Drake, Carti, and Durk especially all have great features aswell. All around an amazing project for me where even if the beats my be similar... Trippie vocally is the most diverse ever.

I can appreciate albums like this that really focus on a specific sound and create a cohesive album. Kinda like a pierre or polo g album that have a lot of the same type beats, but end up with at least a few really solid songs from the formula

My thoughts on Trip At Knight:
It's a very good album. I really like the glitchy hyperpop style of the album, and there are a ton of great songs, like Super Cell, iPhone, Holy Smokes, and Danny Phantom. The only song I wasn't a fan of was Demon Time, it was too generic, although Ski Mask killed it. It does sound samey at points, but overall, it's a good album that I'll definitely listen to more.
Also, I just got addicted to Trippie's collab with Diplo, Wish. It's so good.
personally as a trippie redd fan, this is his best album by a long shot i would rate it a 8-9

If miss the rage didn’t get so big as it got, trip at knight would’ve been totally different as a whole. He posted some songs on Instagram last year saying they were trip at knight songs but they didn’t get put on the album. So now he’s saving them for a whole new album.

@@polarhero57 trip at knight originally was gonna be one of trippies best albums, a dark trap sound that sounded fresh and good as hell but he redid the whole album for tiktok hype when rage beats got big. This only matters to people who were there since after neon shark when trip started previewing the og sounds. I dont care about rage beats but the fact he basically said “lol whoever wanted a classic can go fuck yourselves im just making the album mtr x18 because it got big on tiktok” is just so wack.
Both types of fans would be happy with a separate album for both sounds but nah, trippie decided tak is soonest so hes ruining that one for the early fans.

Really loved this album, and I'm glad you were at least able to enjoy quite a few tracks as well.
I’m just glad to see Trippie getting back into his creative mode. It’s definitely a mixed bag but it feels like an artistic improvement overall.
Genuinely very surprised by how much I liked this Album due to the quality of his last couple, but this was a lot of fun.
Trippie sounds like he was having a blast with these Rage beats as he spends the entire project going hard as fuck with plenty catchy hooks especially Molly Hearts & Holy Smokes all while lacing his verses with outrageous bars ranging from a Molly joke at the expense of Rick Ross, a literal Playboi Carti impression, countless video game, TV & movie references, an unexpected H20 delirious shout out, a completely out of pocket Andy Milonakis joke and a whole song dedicated to Dragon Ball Z.
I also liked how Trippie really makes this sound his own by contrasting these very cutesy synths with insane bass that it gives off a very 2016/17 soundcloud feel to the beats, it also makes the inclusion of Juice and X on the album feel genuine and justified.
The Album just has a fun & celebratory vibe to it that even songs that are a underdeveloped like the X track still have a great vibe to them that I can’t help but enjoy, he definitely could’ve removed a couple songs from the 2nd half as the sound starts to get stale when I hear another underwhelming 2 minute song with the same similar synth, however he finishes off strong with the last 2 tracks that have a more traditional sound to them.

The X verse on Danny Phantom was from an old Worldstar track called GhostBusters that had Ski and Quavo as features, he took it down like 2 days before the album came out but the OG is so much better than Danny Phantom imo

Imo betrayal, miss the rage and supernatural are perfect examples of how much potencial this album had to expand and pionier on the "rage" sound, with detailed and layerd beats that arent just synths or sega genesis-like sounds, but i feel most of the album sounds way too samey. Which i think is a problem that happends when you want to make a whole rage album, its pretty hard to make every track stand out or not sound repetitive.
Over all i enjoyed this album and i would give it a 6, but it kinda dissapoints me how much untapped potencial it had.
I agree after a while you feel as you heard the same shit over and over again but as for favorites they were supernatural and vibes I feel those were the only good new songs on that tape

I love this album. Not too crazy about the last song. BUT I think it flows tremendously well. I love this project it’s by far my favorite of his. At least a 9/10 for me

Although it was a bit repetitive, this was a very fun project to listen to. This style fits him very well and he made a lot of bangers here. Definitely worth a listen imo, been coming back to it a lot this past week. 7.5/10

Facts I think those coming to this album expecting some woke deep rap shit or greatness will surely disappointed cause it was meant to be fun. This album was so fun to listen to, like dude had a song loaded with a bunch of DBZ references, potty humor on song like matt hardy and all the music videos were video game/cartoon?movie inspired. I honesty enjoyed myself thoroughly while listening to it coming just cause of how fun it was.

lifes a trip has to be my favourite trippie album out, sadly ever since lifes a trip I've been disappointed with his albums and singles and if anything trip at night is a way of showing us that trippie is maybe going back to the sound that made him popular and made him pop, its still nowhere near as good as lifes a trip but its a step in the right direction.

I like how before, it was trippies lack of a theme that made people not like his albums, but now he actually he has a theme but its " too consistent" I actually like "New Money" and " betrayal" I like to think Trippie even may have outshined drake and in fact drake was the one that underpreformed. Everyones entitled to their own opinion but I think this album is underrated. Theres so much effort and so many collabs that went into making this. Thats what makes it special.

Drake didn’t underperform, his transition was amazing, the nuances in his vocal delivery were great his energy and flow were solid, but trippie was great on the track with drizzy, they matched each other’s vibes perfectly. Only problem I had with the song would be the pauses in the middle of drakes verse but you get used to that after bit

A perfect scenario would be 1-2 rage beats max, and the rest the original dark trap sound
I really feel like one of the best things Trippie does on this album is blending/moulding into the style of the features on some tracks (like the Playboi Carti and Ski Mask track) while other tracks where the features are moulding into the more rage and grimey Carti inspired energy of Trippie like with Juice Wrld or Lil Durk that really makes some of these moments shine, and out of all albums lately that have felt influenced by Carti In some way, this is maybe the best one

I think this review is pretty spot on! Personally I love how Trippie keeps trying new sounds, it’s refreshing. I’d love to see a super lyrical album next where you can tell Trippie spent a lot of time focusing on the bars.
I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said, the only thing I didn’t like was that fact that trippie lowered the pitch of mp5 for finish line, a lot of the production sounded similar but trippie performed well and I liked almost all the features, I think this is a decent 6

Trippie impressed me with Trip At Knight. The consistency is remarkable for a trap album and a lot of tracks, though not all of them, hit hard. I actually enjoy New Money but your criticisms are definitely fair. I didn't particularly like Super Cell (due to the lyrics, the production was actually pretty cool), iPhone, Baki, and Space Time.
Something about space time and molly hearts hits me spiritually when I’m drunk and off the yay 🤣
