My abs light came on while offroading. Ended up being a broken wire on the rear axle leading to a wheel sensor caused by a small wirey bush. A quick splice job and all the lights went out!
Hey Mike. I agree with what others have said below but I"ll add something that I "use" your videos (like this ABS one) for. I tell my customers to refer to your videos for their education. I'm unsure if others are doing this but honestly, what you present is much more thorough and uses great visuals; much more than I can explain to my customers on the phone or in the shop. Perhaps this is why you're creating these less technical, more common driver type segments - if so, fantastic. If not, well, understand that I'm sharing these with car owners for their education (and hopefully this will result in more work for my shop). Well done once again!

If I got into an accident and it was found that I had warning lights alerting me that the systems were not working correctly prior to the accident, could the insurance company refuse to cover me in that accident?

if only all those "idiot/money lights" could say there was the most common mechanical issues in the brake system. They sure don't for the major things like seized caliper/pins, rust pinched/collapsed hoses or lines, damaged/glazed rotors with poor friction surface, all those majorly increase stopping distance and cause pulling and as we all know that can cause a worse wreck or even pull you into oncoming traffic. too many people are complacent with their braking systems, many never hit them hard afraid it will blow a line and I ask them OK, so if you do need to panic brake and the line blows? deer in headlights as they figure out they'll wreck vs. stop.

Of course all these lights would come on because then when you take it to the mechanic they have to go through everything to see where the problem lies trial and error and it costs a person a ton of money when it could be something minor and less expensive. I swear just like cell phones and many other products in the world they make cars these days not to last and to help other people such as mechanics and car dealerships make way more money off people I'm sorry but in 2022 we should have cars mastered😒 instead of working on flying cars or beautifying cars/better computer systems. I wish we could go back to the old school cars that we could repair ourselves in our driveways cuz with all this sensory and everything else half the time you can drive the car because it's just a sensor like my tire pressure gauge I found was only a sensor and not problematic to driving 😕
abs= already been scr##ed or any body scared? us old farts that drove in the snow for years know how to drive without abs. some people now days cant drive with it !!!
