This is probably my most favorite Opening in all series, this makes you realize YGO is more than just an exploited card game. It's a passionate game thing that turns you into a Warrior. YGO is just beautifull though
And being this said please - KONAMI or even DISNEY.... please go back to the old thick box frame around the art, cards looked more mature with them, they made the game feel like another Vegas Adult Card Game thing, which YGO totally is -

I'm talking about the ones that come after... the American printing that lasted from the beggning - Legend of Blue Eyes - to ZeXal at some point - like 2nd half of the series i'm guessing -... they're like the ones we normally have but more classic cards have those Thick gray frames and Softer Looking title box, which made them look more professional, like something which gave YGO cards that nice mature touch for Adult Pros - the mangas and animes are all mature, right, so the cards should be as well -.. From ARC V to now YGO cards have those skinny horrible box frames around the art, and the title box look like someone in 5TH grade made a rectangle, is like they're not trying for quality anymore. OCG still looks fine and acceptable, but TCG commnos feel like drink coaster tier garbo. I miss pre 2013 YGO. Is not even Nostalgia, is literal Quality. Cards are not as pleasant to the eye anymore - imo -

Since it was around those years - in which this season debuted in Japanese...and 4kids duelist kingdom debuted in America - that OCG changed it's style aesthetics on the cards, and S4 showed that.
Yu Gi Oh just isn't a good game tbh. Too much power creep over the years has made the game too autistic for regular people to enjoy, cards are too expensive as well. There's also less ghoulish monster cards nowadays and more anime girls and robots by the looks of it. The only way to fix the game is to restart everything and make sure each monster has support cards that make it viable, make it so you can't chain 20 different things, etc. That of course goes against the interests of Konami as they want to force the whales to buy the newest most expensive decks and cards, etc.

I still remember back in the day when I was downloading fansubs of Duel Monsters. Staying up all Friday night with my YGO friends watching the anime and deck testing, then going out Saturday with this and Overlap blasting from the CD player while driving down Sunrise Highway on a summer afternoon with the windows down on our way to probably the first of two local tournaments on the day. Literally some of the best memories I'll ever have. #HeartOfTheCards
@Chris Gibson That’s such a beautiful story..I remember watching the entire series with my dad. We watched every single Yu-Gi-Oh series together- that was my first real anime other than Digimon. It brings back so many memories- even duel links does currently. I still miss actually dueling with my dad though- now I have boxes and boxes of cards just sitting there and it brings back such fun memories.
Same, but it's also funny at the same time, I always go through phases of missing yugioh, like I go 1 year without thinking about it, then I spend the next months rewatching every DM opening, the anime, the abridged version and reading the manga again lol, and it always ends with a bittersweet feeling because we don't get to see the OG cast again 😪

I feel like this song was in DDR. I really like the visuals in the opening where Atem and Priest Seto transition to Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba, as well as Joey running across the sunset with Red-Eyes rising above. It's a good workout song.
Actually they have pretty crap cards a lot of the time in the anime. And even the good stuff they have would never work in real life, cuz they never use stuff like deck searching cards, they always just happen to pull exactly what they need. So the Pharaoh would probably not win a single real life competitive duel.

I still remember back in the day when I was downloading fansubs of Duel Monsters. Staying up all Friday night with my YGO friends watching the anime and deck testing, then going out Saturday with this and Overlap blasting from the CD player while driving down Sunrise Highway on a summer afternoon with the windows down on our way to probably the first of two local tournaments on the day. Literally some of the best memories I'll ever have. #HeartOfTheCards

That’s such a beautiful story..I remember watching the entire series with my dad. We watched every single Yu-Gi-Oh series together- that was my first real anime other than Digimon. It brings back so many memories- even duel links does currently. I still miss actually dueling with my dad though- now I have boxes and boxes of cards just sitting there and it brings back such fun memories.

Same, but it's also funny at the same time, I always go through phases of missing yugioh, like I go 1 year without thinking about it, then I spend the next months rewatching every DM opening, the anime, the abridged version and reading the manga again lol, and it always ends with a bittersweet feeling because we don't get to see the OG cast again 😪

Actually they have pretty crap cards a lot of the time in the anime. And even the good stuff they have would never work in real life, cuz they never use stuff like deck searching cards, they always just happen to pull exactly what they need.
So the Pharaoh would probably not win a single real life competitive duel.
