I remember binge watching this saga and damn was it epic, everything led to this arc where "pharoh" had to learn about his past, his name, what duel monsters was really like, the origin of the millennium items, why dark magician and blue eyes are yugi and seto's favorite cards, and of course the mysterious yami Bakura and Kaiba's relation to all this. "Are you saying we're cousins?...."
Can i just share my feelings of nostalgia This is my fave fave fave anime when i was younger, i was 14 ish. Life was easier, my only problems were school and making sure i catch the episodes when it aired. And memorizing the lyrics to all the ops and eds. More than a decade later, life happened. Depression happened. Lost all my hopes and dreams, lost myself. I recently made a spotify account and i was searching for my favorite anime osts and i couldn't find most from yugioh, hence me searching it here and listening to them one by one, after so long. Damn turns out i still know the words to this song. To every song. And with it, everything came back. Maybe not the hopes and dreams but i remember that time, watching, collecting cards... it's a bittersweet feeling. This is the last op where yami had to fight yugi so he can be released too, so we had to say goodbye to him and all that. It's the ending arc of a long adventure i followed along. Ah my heart. Good ol days.

Just finished the first show (Dub) for the first time, and I gotta say, despite having some...obvious issues, the show is just a LOT of fun and has so many cool moments. I can't imagine growing up with Pokemon, Digimon, and Yugioh. Trifecta of incredible monster series.
