Yunnan 2023 | Day 5 | Xiaoputuo Island | High Speed Rail | Dali to Kunming | 洱海小普陀 | 高铁大理到昆明

Our 5th day in Yunnan and also our final day in Dali. After checking out of the motel and enjoying some local breakfast noodles dish, we then got into a mini boat and headed to the mini island, Xiaoputuo and it was literally a less than a minute boat ride and we go to visit the temple dedicated to the goddess of mercy.
After visiting Xiaoputuo, it’s time for us to head back to Kunming but of course, the trip to Dali would not be completed without a nice lunch with the famous Dali spicy and sour fish dish. So we drove back to the city and up the mountain to a small resultant by the road to enjoy this nice meal.
After a nice lunch, instead of road tripping back to Kunming, we decided to catch the high speed rail back to Kunming. The High Speed Rail system really is amazing in China and so futuristic the same time. Even though we were travelling between mountains and mountains, the train was still going at a speed of 200 km/hr.
After arriving Kunming Station, we then called a taxi and headed to dinner and no surprised, we were going to have some more Yunnan cuisine with a touch of South East Asian style because of Yunnan’s demographic location.
