If I am correct google passkey is only allowed to be your PHONE PIN?? Do all of you realize that once someone has your phone pin they can then access your whole google account, having already gotten into your phone? And then if someone at google or anywhere else has gotten your google passkey they can get into your ENTIRE PHONE because it is always the same as your phone pin?? And you cant disable google passkey once you've added the feature, I've tried. HAS NO ONE NOTICED THIS? True privacy would be letting you create a separate number OTHER THAN YOUR PHONE PIN. But that's not what they do! It's not more security it's WORSE SECURITY!! THINK!!

This concept should also be applicable to Microsoft Windows, as it's equally frustrating when you set up something with an automatic password, download a program to your desktop, and then realize you can't access it due to not knowing the password. Everything doesn't have this automatic simplistic password solution.

i have issues with google my bussiness and no one seem to help what a shame
"a simpler"...OK..stop right there. No...having to always have your phone on your...forcing you to have a lock screen AND Bluetooth, and then go through all the steps is not as simple as typing in a passowrd.

This feature saves your life especially if you forgot your Google Account password
Don't keep any compromising information, personal or financial details on your computer and then you won't care if anyone accesses it, and they'll have nothing to do or see even if they do. That way you can then use a very simple password that you won't forget.
Or just simply write your password down and slip it under your carpet. Maybe minus the last two figures, if you're really all that insecure. You can remmber two figures, can't you?
Anybody who finds it won't know how many further letters, numbers, or symbols are missing off the end of the password.
But seriously, people who forget their passwords shouldn't really be trusted with computers.
Personally, I'd prefer not to use passwords at all if the systems didn't force me to, because since I'm neither a terrorist nor a sexual deviant, nor am I stupid enough to put my financial or personal details on any electronic media, there is nothing on my devices that I wouldn't want others to see.

Im trying to log into my account but google hits me with “you didnt provide enough info for google to be sure this account is really yours.”
I factory reset my phone and I’m trying to get back in but there seems to be no way to do that. I think google needs to find a good solution to this problem. I cant seem to find a way to report this problem so i come here. I dont have another device im signed into that gmail because this is my only device. So it is impossible for me to do that way of acc recovery. I have some important stuff on that acc and i need to get in soon. Can anyone suggest a way for me to fix this issue?
My wife is in the same situation, they tell her she lost the account. As far as I know, Google hasn't any way to help to recover email accounts, my wife's account and my account are linked to sharing photos also, they are still saying it's not a way humans can do anything for recovery passwords. Now the announcements for deletion make my wife lose forever the rest of the pictures, the only place she uploaded, we keep trying but isn't helpful. She created a loop, where her recovery password goes to her same email accounts, and she can't get from the phone because the number was assigned to another person now.
