Facing a Pakistan attack with its tail up and with his team in trouble, Moeen Ali smashed a brilliant counterattacking hundred at the Oval. After a helmet strike and a couple of lucky moments, Ali firmly put the bowlers on the back foot accelerating to 108 off 152 balls.

After looking at moeen ali today, I feel sad. He was very dangerous till 2017 only before the ashes tour, after that he was destroyed, then he made a good comeback against India in 2018 but faded away again in 2019.
I am talking about tests particularly.
But he has become inconsistent even in limited overs cricket also.
Don't know what happened to him. After the Ashes he bowled quite well for a while but his batting never improved.
Certainty this is Moeen's best 100
