The Gospel is that Christ died for our sins (we must have faith our sins our forgiven due to the sacrifice that Christ did which is what most miss), was buried and rose on the third day. The moment you believe, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. It is faith in what Christ did that saves us, not what we do. We are saved by grace through faith, not of works.
Yes, but your belief has to be played out. Saying you believe and believing and living your life out based on your belief are two very different things. Take up your cross and follow me, implies more than passivity based on a simple prayer and then a return to worldliness. Works is not about taking up the cross and following Jesus, it is about not believing in the gospel of Christ and then doing nothing or just doing lots of good things within the realm of secularity as a humanist or atheist or maybe even to look relgious or pious following a false heretical theology. This has no purchase power with Christ at all. Doing good works - or what people call 'being a good person' by being moral and upright is the equivalent of spending ages choosing the right ingredients to make the perfect chocolate sachatort cake and the finished result is amazing and brilliant and tasty and it looks exactly like the Austrian equivalent and presenting it proudly to the customer (God) and then finding out that he hates chocolate and wanted lemon merangue pie instead and won't pay for it - and so you wasted your time and effort making it. God wants us to act in faith, repent and be broken by our sin and to follow his commands and to do good works - sure - but only for his own glorification. How can that happen if you don't believe in the gospel and the holiness of God in the first place? You can't. You need to believe, commit and then follow, be transformed to follow better and be like Jesus to be regenerated/changed. You take on or desire to take on the character of God and reject all that the world loves to avoid following idols, which can be just about anything that we love more than God. That work in us - to turn away fro the old and embrace the new life - is done by the power of the Holy Spirit. You can't do it alone. That is what being 'born again' actually means - a new beginning and a life that is in the faith until you meet with the Lord. i

Can you point me to a Paul Washer sermon about Jesus of Nazareth. I would be genuinely fascinated to listen to such a sermon. BE BLESSED.
@@missiontent111 His video 'The Gospel' tells you all you need to know about Jesus of Nazareth.
Your 'intolerance and criticism' of other preachers, which you seem to despise so much, is actually a duty for all true disciples: to call out false preachers - even by name. We all have a duty to be discerning. The true Church of the living God is surrounded by those to aren't genuine Christians. We need to be able to recognise them, avoid them, cast them out and expose them. To do less is dishonourable to God.
You are misapplying the verse 'Judge not, lest ye be judged' to mean something that you want it to mean because it feels comfortable to you.
@@PotterSpurn1 Ah .....I do apologise. I see I am in the presence of one who has been Blessed by God with the one and only TRUE UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIPTURE. You must excuse the rest of us who are not similarly Blessed. We are doomed to stumble on, beset by blindness and ignorance, trusting in our Saviour , the Lord Jesus Christ, that we may yet be granted His Grace and Salvation.
