Thank you very much for each and everyone of you guys that partake in helping thank you six for your documentary and to orange sky hats off to you guys
Awesome service. I might use it one day when I'm living in my car. But to the maori guy who couldnt get a house is because peole saw trouble coming, alcohol, drugs, bad lifestyle and dogs. I couldn't get a house with dogs either. But I'm glad you're in a better place now. Its hard work, well done. I've been there too.
What an amazing people service and I'm blown away by these people RESPECT I'm in papanui area Christchurch I see a lot of homeless people who I'd say would love to have a hot shower and clean clothes 😊
I was a street kid way back in krd, lol. There were quite a few places you could go to for showers, clothes and food but the more places like these do the less the government does! A large part of street people and the criminal system would do better with mental health services, but the government washed their hands of them. So many years ago, not many people remember that the Unitec Campus was Carrington Hospital, which had its own kind of Oranga Tamariki issues!! But rather than fixing it, they released all the patients and closed down the service. My cousin was held in building 76. Some years later, I studied for a BA in Interior Design in building 76. I drove past the other day, and Building one had been torn down. I worked part-time in the Aprchitecture and Design library there; I thought it was a historical building buy I suppose it has also fallen under the new building laws and all the do goodness who would protest these types of things were asleep on the job. I never meant to say so much, but 'buyer beware', the more you do, the less the people who have the means and the know-how will!
Thank you for your service for humanity Orange Sky ❤
