Thanks for Part 2. He was good but still a little more tolerant and less fierce than he was in the recent stint here. Well, at least he was much better than the one on the right. Still cannot believe the number of tourists who always thought that the guard was asking them to get closer .... to get a better pic with him and the horse?!😂 Also, I think the horse will be thinking that the guard was looking after their space because it is all or nothing mostly; hands all over the horse's face etc. I'm sure the horse would prefer nothing. The horse at the end of your video looks stunning and I remember the unique and very beautiful marking on his face. Wonder what his name is? ❤
I saw yesterday's video. I cannot tell you. How elated I was when I saw. The outstanding Gunner ride in. With the amazing King's Troop. Hopefully his regiment has not stifled his enforcement. He is a phenomenal Gunner. Not to take away from the other regiments. That always bring their A-game. In their own way. To Horse Guards. He's definitely my type of Gunner no nonsense. Thank you! For bringing us part 2. Enjoy your quick wit and infectious laughter. You keep us properly informed and amused. Well done!❤️💂♀️🐴
"Santa Claus Jr. was told to get out of the box, then." You know, John, I'm left wondering just how much morning coffee I've spit out, laughing at one of your pet names for the tourists at Horse Guards. Perhaps one, maybe two gallons over the last year...?
I like the fact/observation how people are more likely to take their picture on the side that has the notices hanging, yet are the ones who are more likely to cross that line. Lol. OMG. I love this guard. HE knows how to enforce the rules. That is the absolute BEST. You need to get his name and plaster it online so we can all cheer him on, send him the best of the best thanks for keeping the LINE clear and the horse safe. I love him. Thanks John
I love this guard. He is relentlessly enforcing the white line and the tourists are learning. However, there are some tourists who think they are entitled to do whatever they please and do it. I am glad that he is on duty. I just wish that his partner would do the same on the other side as well as members of the Blues and Royals and Life Guards who don't do this.
Story time! So for 40+ years I worked on the books(payed taxes), I have always hated people who played the system!! Well 9 years ago while at work, I lost the feeling in my legs. Doctor appointment and MRI later, I was told I needed spine surgery or I could end up in a wheel chair, my Love to anyone in a wheelchair♥️! My insurance company denied a fusion, my doctor said I needed three fusions and few more procedures, after fighting the insurance company, I finally said just do the two, my doctor said, Evelyn I guarantee you, you will be back within three years for a revision. I knew he was right but I had been laying around for six months and just wanted to get it over with. I went in on Feb. 22nd, 2016. Eight hour surgery, five days in hospital, two months later I went for one of many follow up appointments with my Amazing Neurosurgeon and said, funny thing I still have some numbness in the front of my legs. Now my Doctor is straight out of the 50’s, so nice, polite, and takes his time to explain, all he needed was a bow tie!😂 Anyway when I told him about the numbness, he almost dropped the F bomb! Well on August 29, 2016, I went back in for another eight hour surgery, they had to take out what they put in I Feb. and replace everything and add the new fusion, they couldn’t add to the prior fusion because of a slight case of scoliosis. Well needless to say, I never healed correctly from the second surgery. So now after all the years I paid into the system, I am now being paid part of my salary from my former company as well as Social Security Disability, and I had to jump thru hoops to get SSD, court, lawyers, doctors, paperwork! It took four years to get approved. So when I hear about slimeballs that are perfectly able to work, but screw the system, it Infuriates Me!! The only time you carry an umbrella when it's not snowing, raining or the sun isn't blazing is when you're nuts, I love how the guard on the left just waits to strike, they step in and "BAM" he lets them have it.
Thanks to the lovely Police woman who had a chat with you explaining why they were out , great she knew about the channel 😀. How long are Kings Troop on duty this time John ? It's been a split stint for them divided by the State visit I expect they'll be pleased to get back to base at Woolwich Barracks and prepare for next year . Please let's all remember we don't know what orders /instructions they have been given before jumping up and down judging them ,why should we it's none of our business ! Thanks for staying out for 2 hours John , hope you got home easily and warmed up .😊
it's awesome to have the fabulous kings troop back again. They do the best job in dealing with tourists. I watched a video sometime ago on them down at their barracks. very informative and how much care is taken obviously on the horses. love the police horses. absolutely gorgeous.
Good evening John thank you for braving the Baltic weather , it’s same up here in Yorkshire worth putting a big coat on , that gunner is a credit to his regiment think the other one had checked out , take care and keep warm .
Thanks John for Part 2 that weather "looks" yucky and cold. Prehaps a visit to Chinatown for a cup of coffee and your favorite Chinese pastry. Such dedication means you should reward yourself. Lovely horses in both boxes. The gunner in the left box is a superstar making sure the Tourons respect the whote line. Protecting his mount, who looks relaxed and curious. Thanks John.
Just think of it John, if there is a Sea of umbrellas ☂️ , you’d be keeping dry. Lol A massive distraction to the horses mind you. That gunner is hilariously on the mark and ready at the get-go to use his authority to hold the line. Lol 😂. These horses are absolutely gorgeous. OMG, I need to let you know I used one of your lines yesterday. Someone tried to touch my dog who by the way is deaf since birth and a wee bit weary of strange people sticking their hands in her space. I had an ex-pen (metal dog barrier) around my desk and she wasn’t having non of her space being invaded and began to bark in her “get out of my face tone”. Then the gentleman decided to bend down a (my cousin’s dog is a Cocker Spaniel) and get in his face !!!! That dog wasn’t having a good time and I just had to say, “ Excuse me but where do you see in this room a sign saying “PETTING ZOO”??? He stands up and says, “oh, I’ve have large dogs all my life and gotten bitten many times over the years. OK, I see now how that happened to you. lol. Thanks John for the liner.
Not surprising he'd been bitten many times when he chose to ignore the clear signs from the dog who wanted to be left alone ! It's not really rocket science is it ? Oh wait to some it is ! Many years ago I had a big German Shepherd who loved children but I always emphasised to them they must ask first before approaching or trying to pet any dog , educate them young before something happens . Have a good day 😊
Love when it's quiet at Horse Guards and you can hear the Gunner, "THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LINE!" LOL! What a beast he is protecting his mount and the rules! He definitely has it going on. Love the laughs and comments, as always. Did you get your solicitor's letter yet? Maybe it's lost in the Xmas rush backlog. *sigh* Have a beautiful, blessed day, get some hot coffee and a sandwich in you and you will feel right as rain (unless it's frozen rain). Love and blessings from Missouri, USA.
Hi John. Thank you for part 2. Love it. We have a couple of feet of snow and north east of us has almost 5 feet. Here in in Ontario 😊 it was a huge storm for them
I like the fact/observation how people are more likely to take their picture on the side that has the notices hanging, yet are the ones who are more likely to cross that line. Lol.
@penelopeverstege4475 Are you in cottage country north of Barrie area? We don't have that much snow (SW Manitoba) but high winds and frigid temps a day ago. (-31C wind chill) I see that area still under alerts, stay safe!
No I am not but this snow is hitting most of Ontario. We are expecting more snow until Sunday with high winds from Toronto north and from the Georgian Bay west to Ottawa. We had 40 cm but Hanover got at least 2.5 feet and Gravenhurst got 4 feet. We are supposed to go to Walkerton for family Christmas Sunday...don't think anyone will make it. BUT it is supposed to be -17C here in Kitchener area tonight.@@starvingartist2824
Maybe Horse Guards must look at putting a heat resistant beam showing red and green on each side of the box just above the lines with a plastic bollard with a flat plate on the front of each bollard , so if a tourist breaks the beam it will go from green to red but won’t hurt anyone (just a thought)

I don't understand why some guards don't enforce the rule. It's a sensible rule, they took the trouble to paint the lines, so enforce it. I get so aggravated when they just sit there, staring into space, while people do what they please. Do your job.
Ok I want to really see a across the board “OUT OF THE BOX” enforced by both Troopers at every change. The ability to go straight in and NOTHING said by that one guard on the right was totally unacceptable. If you’re going to go to the length of keeping tourists’ hands away from the horse/guard by painting a clear marker around them, then enforce the darn rule.
