The gamecube era truly was such a vibe, I wish I had been aware of it at the time it was in its *prime.* But also it's nice to see this as I make my way through Aether for the first time.
They don't make gaming experiences like they used to. Even after playing the excellent remaster for Prime on the Switch, I still really love the atmosphere and feel of Prime 2. I actually experienced this trilogy in reverse order. Prime 3 was my first Metroid game which we borrowed from friends, later on my brother decided to buy me a used copy of Prime 2 for the Gamecube after I showed interest. The game took me forever to complete, but , I did finish the game (boost guardian stalled me for awhile). Prime 2 was one of the best and most satisfying experiences I ever had when I was in highschool, and I was playing the game more than 10 years after it came out. Halo 2, Half-Life 2, and Metroid Prime 2 are 3 of my favorite games and they all turned 20 this year, that's crazy. I played all of these games during my mid to late teens, and now I'm in my late 20's. While I'm not as stoked for a port or remaster of Prime 3 given it's age and somewhat weaker plot, I will be quite upset if they decide not to remaster Prime 2 before they release Prime 4. Also Star Fox Assault came out 1 year after Prime 2 and that's another one of my top 10 Gamecube games.
That's odd, I would have thought I'd remembered this being in Prime 1.... Or for that matter playing in Phendrana Drifts, or on the initial landing on Tallon IV or during Quadraxis or Emperor Ing. All joking aside, while I might not agree with your take, I can certainly see where it's coming from, It's an incredible track and a masterpiece of a game.
I love you for this. My youtube downloads, (cuz I actually have premium I know, big mistake already), keep stuttering and crashing no matter what so I am finding it extremely difficult to access over 3000 offline videos I have saved. But I save them because they instill me with feelings that make me *Care*
Thank y'all so much for over 1000 subscribers. 🫶
Ur a fucking legend tho

So good. The layering, subtleties, and freshness while still being so faithful to the original is awesome. Your passion definitely shines through.

Ah yes, my absolute favorite theme in Prime 2. Any chance on releasing this or an album on Bandcamp?
Is there a way to download this and any other Metroid music you remix? I’ll pay. 😫 I love this.
