    From what I have heard different mechanics say after 2005 or 2006 they fixed the head gasket issue on the NorthStar and they are pretty reliable motors !

    I have the exact same car, 71K miles. I love it. No trouble with the head gasket in these years but I do have the oil leak, although not too bad. These ride so nice and they just feel well made. Very comfortable cars. Compared to what we had as I grew up, I feel privileged to have a car like this.

    ❤a beautiful car!!! 2005 courser threads on head gasket. I hear that improved the head gasket issues.

    I have a 2006 DTS. bought it as my first car. The thing with the 2006 being bad is wrong. If you buy one after 2005 its safe because in 05 they redesigned the head studs.

    This is random but I’m from Chicago and I love your accent. Also Cadillac is one of my favorite brands

    The head stud problem was finally addressed in 2005, the real problem was accessing the rear bank when replacing and retooling heads . Forcing eng. Drop labor charges to a common problem in many engines

    Head gaskets were fixed in 2004. Granted it can still happen to any car. Especially if the water pump goes. The only other problem is they leak a lot of oil. My 2008 with 96k miles is still holding up pretty well. Some seepage but no drips. I love the car. Mine is pretty loaded. Luxury 3 model.

    Closing the truck with your hand on the third brake light costs 400.00. OEM.

    Never see these anymore. Kind of a weird car when you think about it -- built for a customer that disappeared overnight. This spec especially is wacky. Kinda cool that this one is so well-preserved. I like lavender stuff too!! But when I heard about the metal sticking to your eye I nearly lost my lunch!! Be careful Joe. Get some rest!

    Which year of this model would you say is the most reliable?

      Probably a 10 or 11. But look for oil leaks. holy cow these things can hemorrhage oil.

    All I ever wanted to know is in terms of the comfort and drive does this drive like an s class?

    • @JoesGoldenGarage
      @JoesGoldenGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Man I wish. It drives well. But the steering is is no s class. It does not have a good sense of “straight ahead”
