This was my first time watching your video & I just subscribed. Thank you for a great video! I love long skirts, & am thrilled to see them all over lately!!
I think wide leg and flare is NOT out of style like at all. And I dont think it's going out of style. Skinny jeans worn with knee highboys are still just fine. Skinny jeans are a basic, they dont really go out of style. Straight leg jeans are good, but they dont suit everyone, and they aren't the only thin allowed.
Dang it! I just bought a denim short jacket, worn once and now it’s out of style. 🙀 No worries ladies. I’m 74 and keeping the jacket. 😻 I’ll still be one of the most stylish seniors in my retirement home. 💃🏼
I hear you! I bought a fitted denim jacket this summer. I knew it wasn’t on trend but the fitted ones suit my shape so much more than the oversized. Wear what looks good on you I say! Pair with wide leg trousers or something that is on trend to bring it a little more up to date x
Wear what looks good on your body and what you like. This advice is just a broad guideline IF you are curious to know the trends. If we listened to everything, we would have to delete half our wardrobes every season. PLUS, these lovely ladies get most of their clothes, bags, etc. for free from sponsors, and resell whatever they don't want - free stuff AND extra $$$.
Denim is not out of style! You can wear it and wear anything depending in how you dress it. Wear what feels good n looks good to you. Accentuate it all☺️
I don't care so much to keep up with all the trends. What's important to me is that the clothes fit well, look great on, and make me feel beautiful and confident. I really like several items that the video says are out of style, so I intend to still wear them. Wear what makes you look and feel beautiful and be happy! 😊
The only items I like is one maxi skirt and the coats. I don’t like 😅anything else. That short black dress looked awful. The big shoulders look is so unflattering. I’ll have to be unfashionable.
I believe that all styles are in. All those donts that she pointed out are not out dated. Everyone can wear it in many different ways. The key is to find your style or what looks good on you. You wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear you.
And stop jumping on THE Г1 TREND EVERY YEAR which is: go to extremes so you have to pitch out everything next year and do ot all over again next year spending thousands of dollars a year on clothing shoes bags and other accessories....add that up over your adulthood, what is it ?...$pend $2,000 a year on clothing that is $20,000 a decade do that for 5 decades and it is $100,000 in todays dollars now double ❤your annual spending or quintuple it and you have spent a cool million just by spending $10,000 a year ...loads of women spend that buying designer bags, shoes and pieces! Dont you think they would rather have that million dollars at 70? Investthat money instead and you will have multiple millions!
I do want to look up to date, and find that it isn’t too hard with classic, basic pieces. The trending styles also have a lot to do with where you live. For example, I live in a subtropical zone with lots of retired people; Skinny jeans were never a trend here. My goal is classic and comfortable. 🦋
This advice on a fashion trend video is not helpful. Provided we have our finances in order fashion can be fun and helps us feel current, not like some old lady in a time warp. No one says you have to follow every trend, of course that is foolish. But this whole just do what you want advice is not helpful because WE ALREADY KNOW THAT. With all the sales and thrifting opportunities available you can look cute on a budget. I know because my mother was a housekeeper who had limited finances yet she always made sure I was well dressed. Also, if you don’t care, why do you even click on these videos? Clearly not meant for you.
DRESSING with style is not just about keeping up obsessively with new season trends. Some trends like wide leg trousers will not last long and will look terribly dates very quickly. If you have bought excellent quality fabrics, well cut pieces they will rotate through your wardrobe for decades. We can reference new trends with less expensive additions. There is also the important decisions around body type, age and lifestyle and practicalities . Seasonal trends come and go, most of us choose seasonal items which can be absorbed into our current wardrobe easily.
However, full trousers as part of a suit are classic. I like the more generous trousers with pleats in the front which I find comfortable, classic and attractive.
I have lot of pieces that you said they are not trendy anymore...I mix some trendy clothes or accessories with classical that I have for years in my wardrobe. I have my own style❤ love your video even I don,t agree with some things you say are out of fashion... we cannot buy clothes every 3 months..
I absolutely agree. You buy something this year cheap or expensive it doesn't matters next year out of fashion. I think we must mix new with old and have a classic personal style, especially in my age 52. Fashion goes but style stays forever. Chanel.😊
Honestly as a 46 yr old woman I prefer to buy classic pieces not trendy pieces. A lot of these styles remind me of the 80s, looking at you shoulder pads😝, and 90s. I think classic will always win over trendy as one gets older and more sophisticated.
I’m with you 100%. The one time I deviated from my classic style I didn’t feel like me and wasted tons of money. High-quality, classic items forever🙂 (age 63)
Yes, I agree too. Classic doesn't have to be boring, I always dress timeless chic with pieces you don't see everywhere or you can tsay where it's from. My clothes always can be worn because they don't remember any particukary year or decade where something was trendy. And I always get many compliments for my style. I also wonder why people WANT to look trendy = like you just bought something this month 🤭🙃
They call it time capsule wardrobe. They all fit together, have a sophisticated look. Never undeestood cropped anyway, looks like your pants are too short, especially with me, 180 cm 🫣
Then just enjoy wearing it! My video is about what to invest in and what better not to buy, but if you already have it, there’s always way to update it with some seasonal injections! I am sure you’ll rock it! 😉👌
Thank you Diana, great video, not much there for petites, many a bit overwhelming. The black trousers and white shirt are gorgeous and options I already own, I can have fun with some colourful shoes. Waistcoats too are lovely. Lucky me I'll save my budget this season and continue with my classic pieces. I am yet to find a flattering pair of jeans that I like, or perhaps I just prefer a more structured trouser on my body shape.
According to this the 90s are back! I had every single piece here in the 90s except the long skirts and the adidas trainers. Will have to try that this time around.
Love waistcoats and so glad to see them trending. Your black trousers with classic white shirt is a timeless look that we can all wear without buying anything new. Not loving all the shiny gold button details I am seeing on jackets this fall, but have never been a fan of stand-out buttons. We all have our unique tastes. 🙂 Lovely presentation, Diana, as always. 😎👟🎯
I really like your videos; however, this one left me overwhelmed and discouraged. I have worked really hard the last couple of years trying to revise my wardrobe so it suits me. Unfortunately, a lot of the clothes I have recently purchased are now out of style. I guess I will continue to focus on classic, body skimming clothes that fit my lifestyle even though that are dated.
Same. I worked hard to curate a classic wardrobe but this video left me feeling like I'm not trendy enough. The menswear inspired shirt and trousers combi is gorgeous, but it's not me.
Classic is where it’s at. Don’t overthink it. Wear what you wish and what you feel good in. Trends are to make money and that’s it. They’ll be out before you know it, as will your bank account if you follow them. Most people don’t really care what’s in style or out and if they really do, do you honestly want to know them anyways? Dress for you 😊Classy is never out of style.
Hang onto them. The fashion cycle is very short these days and people no longer want exaggerated styles. (Flared pants lasted next to no time.) Some of this year's colours will date very quickly, too.
To wear trendy clothes is a choice. I love ballerina shoes, for example, but they were more than 10 years out of style. Did I stop wearing them? No. You can wear anything you want, these videos about trends and out of style pieces are just some information that you can choose to follow or to ignore. 😊
I am working on creating a wardrobe with sustainable fabics. This brand seems to use mostly polyester. Can you look to more quality fabric brands to show us?
Lovely presentation. I just purchased a similar sleeveless sweater like the one you are wearing with ivory/black and the gold buttons on the front pockets. I will still be wearing my barely boot cut jeans because they really elongate my stature and are flattering on me. You look great in all of the styles you modeled.
Great video ! Super clear and useful. Thanks so much Diana ! That said, what do we do with our knee-length skirts and dresses, which look "dated" now that very long lenght is on trend ? How can we continue to wear them without looking 10 years older if, apart from this length, the style, size/fit and colour are OK ? So far, I've only found the option of high riding boots. I don't feel comfortable enough anymore in very short mini-lengths for the option of the shortening of the skirt. Thanks for your help and advices ! See you soon !
We wear a lot of jeans at work. I do know, what to wear with skiny jeans to look more elegant. But what can you wear with straight or wide leg jeans to make it more elegant. And of course look as flatering as with skiny jeans.
Skirts, cropped Chanel jackets and trousers with pleats at the waist, never looked good on me,as I'm an apple shaped, with a rather big bust . Nice video but only for certain body shapes.
Unfortunately, once again I clearly realize that what is fashionable, not necessarily suits me or fits my silhouette. I guess I will stick to my classics, even though they are dated. I must admit though, that the concept of this video, contrasting outdated fits with a up to date ones is really clever.
Wear them. If you love how they look, they flatter you and make you feel fabulous, then disregard whatever the trends dictate. Instead inject other pieces into your wardrobe to make your style current. I have also bought flares. I'm an hourglass and they make me look sexy as heck. Barrel jeans make me look and feel like a slob. Choose what suits you and leave the rest I say! 😊
Umm…those straight leg slender jeans, the first in style jeans you wear…they look funny. There is a fold of fabric right at the crotch, is that how it’s supposed to look?
Anyone that’s well dressed and got style knows it’s about dressing for your body type and not trends. And tbh anything goes these days and are allowed as fashion has basically stopped since the 2000’s, and we’re just going through the different time periods within fashion from the 90’s (2013+), and now the 70’s and 80’s.
I am really getting sick of these "fashion designers". These rich little daddies' & mama's kids, dictate what's "in" & what's out & the SHEEPLE just follow them, while most women of average & short stature, look HORRIBLE in them (such as those loose pants & skirts that make them look as if they're wearing sacks & getting DROWNED in them)! There's nothing wrong with classic pencil skirts & whatever pants with whatever length that look good on you; not what these filthy rich business owners tell you to buy & buy & buy!!! Oh well, the sheep lose money for temporary gratification while those rotten designers laugh all the way to the bank & get richer. Now, it's your choice to either invest your hard-earned monies in whatever could grow & provide you financial freedom in the future, or assist the one percent to get even richer while you lose, so that people think you are up-to-date with "fashion"! Besides, there is nothing "green" about constantly throwing clothes away & buying new ones when you have perfectly fitting, nice garments in your closet, but instead, getting stuck in this vicious cycle!!!
Urban Revivo is all polyester and acrylic, not for me! I can’t stand wearing those synthetic fibers and the overall quality of their items looks really cheap, plus, they’re just doing to death the Chanel-style jacket. Buying a whole wardrobe of these will create a very outdated wardrobe in two years.
Yes! PLEASE do a video on accessories. I'm a Y shape. Full busted, not well defined waist and now that wrapped and ruched styles are OUT, I need options that won't accentuate my lumps or make me look like a stuffed potato. Haven't tucked in a top in my entire adult life. Not sure if I could pull off a knitted dress. Clingy stuff scares the heck out of me. You advice and videos are a godsend.
Diana, your fashion and beauty videos are so much fun to watch as well as showing trends to consider. It’s good to know what’s in and out of style even if we make only a few changes and keep the styles we love. You’re a beautiful woman inside and out. Love from Canada. ❤️🇨🇦🍁
I don’t enjoy wearing jeans, but when I do, they have to be washed, dark indigo or white 501s. They never go out of style and are the only jeans that fit me reasonably well.
Thank you for your information on yrends. It's helped me purge some items and add new pieces to refresh my winter wardrobe. Urban Revival has some pieces I will add. The Chanel jacket and black wide leg wool (?) Dress pants are vital pieces for me to fill in. 😊
More and more I see “fashion” as a distraction from more important things facing humanity at the moment. I do love pretty clothes, but I’ll wear what I like, and if it happens to be in style, great! Honest feedback.. seeing a thumbnail with one outfit X’ed out and the other outfit “approved” just rankles me and I’m tired of seeing it.
Please note that most of the checked pieces are white, cream or light beige…..perfect for sloppy rainy days and greeting children and dogs. Like home decor…it’s time for some color!
I really enjoyed the video and seeing your styling ideas. I wish someone would tell the retailers that skinny jeans and "whiskered" jeans are out of style! I can't wear some of your suggestions because I'm so short--baggy pants and long full skirts need major alterations, and simply aren't worth the extra cost. I rummaged around in my closet and found a denim jacket that I have had for a few years and has now come back in style again. I use a subscription clothes service which helps me style and choose, but I like seeing a different perspective such as those you provide. I look forward to your future videos.
Diana thank you for your advices! I would like to know where you buy the black tote that you are wearing with the black dress and the black maxi coat.. you said something that Demelir.. could you let me know, please!
I bought a beautiful gray long belted coat last year with faux fur collar and cuffs. I will be wearing it. I buy coats for longevity.. I love coats and bought two more recently in different colors. I didn't spend all that money for some influencer to tell me something is no longer in style.
Hello gorgeous! Love your videos- just found out you’re just up the road from me. Groetjes van Keerbergen. Keep up the elegant achievable fashion inspiration. ❤
I love the denim dress but I can't see a link for it or any info? It would be a lot more useful if there are links to all the items and not just those that you're wearing.
Most of the brands recommended on this channel are very 'fast fashion-looking' and their sizes rarely go past a US size 10. While Diana always says "you are beautiful and can be stylish no matter your size" the clothing styled on this channel appear to be only available for smaller-framed women. Have you noticed that most of the brands seem to only carry neutral clothing in black, white and beige??? My personal coloring does not suit such stark color contrasts like black and white. And most beiges make me look bleh!. Fashion trends are usually outdated within six months, but classic clothing that flatters your figure will remain stylish with a few tweaks and accessories forever! I enjoy watching Diana's video's for her styling hacks and I've taken a few of her courses which were very informative and fun. Unfortunately, I haven't ever found anything flattering to my figure or available in my size when going to the links displayed here. ☹
I always hated skinnies, I’m glad they’re out. Many women and men still wear theirs, but they look so dated, it’s time to get some jeans and other pants with updated silhouettes. I do like the classic slim, cigarette or stovepipe jeans/trousers as well as the classic pleated ones, that are back in this autumn. A slim fit is great, skin-tight isn’t.
Personally I think this ladylike, Channel style jacket with gold buttons looks silly with the light washed jeans and white trainers. The mood of the jacket on the top half is totally different than the mood of the jeans. Wear the jacket with dark washed jeans or plain trousers.
The only bad thing about the long denim skirts is that in the area I live in, there is this fanatic religion (quiverfull) where all the women wear denim midi and maxi denim skirts .... 🤣 I can't lol.
@@dianagoss North Carolina in the U.S. But they're all over the U.S. mostly in the South and Midwest. (example: the Duggar Family with that tv show 19 kids and counting)
This is my opinion and someone who studied fashion design. I have seen design trends come and go. Even if influencer's and fashion declare what's in and out, doesn't mean whats in should be worn. For example the cream sleeveless top with the Maxie white skirt and tennis shoes. It's very broken up by the color and style and just doesn't flow. It looks like someone who doesn't have a light in their closet or a mirror. Each piece is beautiful just not together.

69 here👋…..some things like above the knee short dresses, can’t! 😂..I feel I’m on the wrong channel. I got to Find my age group style influencers 😂😂❤

I’m 72 and just bought a midi denim skirt! Aarrgh! But it’ll be back …

I’m actually wearing pants rn that were on the out of trend list lol. I can’t w these barrel legged high waisted pants 😫 I’ve tried it’s a hard NO.
A lot of the "don't's" are new purchases for me and I'm quite fond of them. 😮
Many of the don’t examples are in my humble opinion classics.
Sorry but those $225 Paige Cindy crops are a closet staple and for that money they ain’t going anywhere
If they fit properly and you wear them with confidence, you will be looking great!
The only items I like is one maxi skirt and the coats. I don’t like 😅anything else. That short black dress looked awful. The big shoulders look is so unflattering. I’ll have to be unfashionable.
Well it depends on who is talking because I just watched a video saying flares and bootcut are the most on trend so 🤷♀️
I believe that all styles are in. All those donts that she pointed out are not out dated. Everyone can wear it in many different ways. The key is to find your style or what looks good on you. You wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear you.
I’m surprised you mentioned leather moto jackets are not on “trend”. I would think they’re a classic.
You would be correct. As is the Burberry trench. Definitely NOT out of style.
There were like 10 of those Moto jackets in the Nordy sale. Never out of style in my opinion.
Agree! I have just added, like, six of them to my fall wardrobe.
The long knit maxi dresses look really frumpy on plus size women.
Ladies, relax. Create your own style. And your created style may become trendy next season! Or maybe not! Who cares.

Yes! Classics just a better investment.

Yes I am now going through a metamorphosis regarding my style decisions. I too am thinking long-term and buying things based on longevity!
Oh dear I’m doomed. I love flare jeans and midi skirts. And that’s most of my wardrobe.
Then just enjoy wearing it! My video is about what to invest in and what better not to buy, but if you already have it, there’s always way to update it with some seasonal injections! I am sure you’ll rock it! 😉👌
Straight leg jeans and tweed jackets fit my style 😄 .thank you for sharing how to wear it
I’m keeping my skinny jeans no matter what. Wide leg jeans make me feel huge. I prefer a slim silhouette/profile.
Skinny is back..celine catwalk ❤️
Omgawd ! those black and white mesh covered ankle strap shoes are sooooooo freakin stunning !!!!!! Momma loveeeeeee, lolol
I love your style, also like your put your size with the link who’s is very help! Please do that with your each video ❤️

Baby bootcuts.
Your seasonal style videos are THE BEST!!
All the short fitted jackets look great with wide legged trousers.
Nice concept of video however petites will drown in all of this oversized trendy clothes!. By the way where is the trenchcoat in the video from?
Love the all ivory outfit at 5:44, the top is to die for.
Skirts, cropped Chanel jackets and trousers with pleats at the waist, never looked good on me,as I'm an apple shaped, with a rather big bust . Nice video but only for certain body shapes.
Beautiful video Diana! As always thank you for the lovely suggestions and advice. ❤ ( I love that urban revivo vest you had on here today)
I would to see your ideas about accessories. Thank you for these brilliant videos that you share with us. I hope you have a wonderful 2024 x
Unfortunately, once again I clearly realize that what is fashionable, not necessarily suits me or fits my silhouette. I guess I will stick to my classics, even though they are dated. Enjoy them! A lot of what was listed here as being out of style I have seen on the FW 23-24 runways. Fashion is so subjective.
I will always wear bootcut jeans..they look good on me and make me look taller
Thank you Diana, lots of lovely information with examples. ❤
Umm…those straight leg slender jeans, the first in style jeans you wear…they look funny. There is a fold of fabric right at the crotch, is that how it’s supposed to look?

Your right on
Exactly. I will wear what i want. I found this video a bit ridiculous. I'd have no clothes left if I took her advice!! lol
Hi so enjoyed your program, always loved classic clothes with a twist ,you can wear them for years 🤗,,thank you xx
Thank you for this inspiring update in fall-winter fashion. Number of them I would consider for myself, without investing a lot on new wardrobe items.
The Little black dress might just be my favorite item I've ever seen you wear!
All the jackets and coats that are 'out' are the best proportions for me at 4' 10". The 'in' ones are no good for me.😂
Urban Revivo is all polyester and acrylic, not for me! I can’t stand wearing those synthetic fibers and the overall quality of their items looks really cheap, plus, they’re just doing to death the Chanel-style jacket. Buying a whole wardrobe of these will create a very outdated wardrobe in two years.
They are also very limited in their sizing.
Must agree.
If they sell it and you can buy it and it looks good on you. Its in style..
Hmmm I am not sure I agree with your view on what is trendy or not right now (and I am not talking about personal preferences)
I agree. I would literally have no clothes left with all her suggestions lol
I don’t enjoy wearing jeans, but when I do, they have to be washed, dark indigo or white 501s. They never go out of style and are the only jeans that fit me reasonably well.
You gave nice tips for wearing jeans nd accessories nd other out fits.
This was the best video EVER. You explained everything so well thanks ❤
Thank you for your feedback!☺️
Thank you! Great video!
thank you for my color guide and shape guide! love the easy to understand format and tips.
So glad to hear that! 🫶🏻
Thank you for the update!! How do petite women wear the wide leg pant style?
I am petite and love wide leg pants. Just wear a more fitted top, show your waistline, and a non bulky shoe and they will look great!
Wear them over massive platforms if you can ...
Thanks for your video ❤ what is please the brand of your shirt you are wearing while doing your presentation?? Thanks 🙏
It’s urban revivo. Thank you for your comment!
Thank you for your information on yrends. It's helped me purge some items and add new pieces to refresh my winter wardrobe. Urban Revival has some pieces I will add. The Chanel jacket and black wide leg wool (?) Dress pants are vital pieces for me to fill in. 😊
Isn't a leather moto jacket a classic??
It is of course. I only mentioned and showed the tight fitted model as not the most up-to-date one. If it’s slightly loose fit it’s perfectly fine.
Accessories please!
Yeah! 👌
Will look forward to it!
Excellent video, thank you. I appreciated how you showed what isn't in style too. Great inspiration!
Adorable sweater
Thank you!
Nice 👍 Love you! ❤️
Thanks ❤️
Please note that most of the checked pieces are white, cream or light beige…..perfect for sloppy rainy days and greeting children and dogs. Like home decor…it’s time for some color!
Where can I get the white skirt you’re wearing?
Great video. That you for sharing your extensive fashion knowledge.
My pleasure! Thank you! ☺️
Can you provide the link to the TAN COAT? The only thing I wanted in the video.
What brand is the medium sized black bag (bag as a clutch) you are carrying?
Very enjoyable!
Beautiful outfits and ideas. Thanks ❤
Nice!!! Love it all ❤❤❤
Always gorgeous!
Thank you 😊
Wow...that was so well done..thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!☺️🫶🏻
I thought the oversized, bell bottoms were back in style this season??
Are you using your bomber jacket as a third completer piece in your outfit or as an outerwear coat for when you were outside
Thank you.
You're welcome!💚
Diana thank you for your advices! I would like to know where you buy the black tote that you are wearing with the black dress and the black maxi coat.. you said something that Demelir.. could you let me know, please!
Thank you! The tote is Demellier.
Fabulous review, I’m in!
I bought a beautiful gray long belted coat last year with faux fur collar and cuffs. I will be wearing it. I buy coats for longevity.. I love coats and bought two more recently in different colors. I didn't spend all that money for some influencer to tell me something is no longer in style.
No offense, but this video is the ultimate guide of how to be a fashion victim 😂
I’m amazed the Payless Shoes prank hasn’t put an end to the influencer industry one and for all.
Wear what u want and dont be a fashion victim
It’s a giant ad for this strange brand. This video really annoyed me.
I am very happy I am not alone...
Thank God the holey jeans are out . Fed up seeing these .
🙈🤣
Skinny jeans are not out of style in my area, I see more skinny jeans on women and men than any style of jeans.
You look very classic, beautiful.
Hello gorgeous! Love your videos- just found out you’re just up the road from me. Groetjes van Keerbergen. Keep up the elegant achievable fashion inspiration. ❤
I just saw a vido saying cropped fitted pants are in style.
I love the denim dress but I can't see a link for it or any info? It would be a lot more useful if there are links to all the items and not just those that you're wearing.
Pencil skirts are in trend, aren't they 😮
I think pencil skirts are classics.
I love the Urban Revivo items but it doesn’t appear they have extended sizing which is unfortunate.
I enjoy watching Diana's video's for her styling hacks and I've taken a few of her courses which were
very informative and fun. Unfortunately, I haven't ever found anything flattering to my figure or available in my size when going to the links displayed here. ☹
I totally agree with the cropped jeans . I don’t think they look good on anyone.
Especially cropped flares, how dorky they look🙂
You forgot the baggy cargo pants..😊
I always hated skinnies, I’m glad they’re out. Many women and men still wear theirs, but they look so dated, it’s time to get some jeans and other pants with updated silhouettes. I do like the classic slim, cigarette or stovepipe jeans/trousers as well as the classic pleated ones, that are back in this autumn. A slim fit is great, skin-tight isn’t.
Screw what is in or out Wear what you like That is what is “in trend”
From Morocco 🇲🇦👍👍👍
Why did you call that last black coat a maxi coat? It's clearly a midi.
I am in South of France and everyone wears skinny jeans! 🤷♀️
Oops! Never hear of it! 🙈 where is it?
@@dianagoss North Carolina in the U.S. But they're all over the U.S. mostly in the South and Midwest. (example: the Duggar Family with that tv show 19 kids and counting)
@indiradahan yeah, I was thinking the same. Way to look crazy!
Your look is so classy😊
Thank you 😊 ❤
