  • What's your next mission? Lauren Fell argues that intellectual diversity is valuable, even in highly specialized fields like space exploration. Lauren's journey from psychology to the space industry began with her success in several NASA engineering design challenges.
As co-founder of Lunaria One, a space start-up project that aims put plants on the moon, Lauren embodies a unique fusion of psychology, inventiveness, and entrepreneurial spirit. Currently an Associate Lecturer at QUT, Lauren's passion for pushing the boundaries of space exploration and education is evident in her PhD research, creating a quantum cognitive theory of intuitive trust, and integrating physics, psychology, and technology.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

A very inspiring and clear talk. The comments on this channel are a cesspool of resentment.

you need to go away and play with your imaginary magical bendy sticky water , because in reality water cannot hold a curve or stick to spinning balls.

Not true. The FAA would be very upset if you sprayed metholox (rocket exhaust) on a populated area.

Alot of nasa challenges So after 2017 nasa is asking regular people to make a Faraday for radiation protection
But we have been to the moon 😂
Your armadillo shield isn't protecting you from free radical radiation

space is in direct violation of the 2nd law of thermodynamics , it can't possibly exist. All our air would disperse into it and we would all die. If you have a belief that "gravity" the unproven theory can hold gas pressure next to a vacuum ,without a barrier, then please practically demonstrate it without using the subject in question, Thanks and all the best.

@@gerryboy3699Strawman. Nobody claims there is gas pressure next to a vacuum. It's a gradient. You know that. Stop preaching the delusion.

@@gerryboy3699 I don't care to play with you. If you want to understand gravity, read a book on physics.

    • @gerryboy3699

I know more about physics than you ever will, and by your answer I know that you can't practically demonstrate your belief that defies scientific law, a scientific law is a fact. All because you were told it was true when you were 5 years old. Keep watching space on your TV screen and swallow it hard. Gas will always fill a vacuum, if there is no barrier.@@Silhouex

Is QUT the lowest ranked university to ever host one of these?
