Am I the only one who thinks this song sounds like it should be on a movie/ TV soundtrack? The production, is low key hitting me with the strings, the melody and lyrics are sweet, and his voice sounds seriously sweet and authentic. As a first time listener, it's just the image that popped into my head- it's a bit cheesy, but it feels like the kinda song that would be playing in a young adult rom com, or TV show when they first kiss/ have sex...whatever the climax is for a series or film adaptation of a Jenny Han book.

When I was a teenager. Gay artists were still having to be absolutely straight in their videos and music, you could see it destroying them. So finally we live in a world where most of us are happy just getting on with it and living our own lives without judgement. There’s still the stragglers slow to catch up, but that’s their problem. i remember i was about 9 when i knew i liked boys. even at a young age, i couldn’t accept that fact because the world told me that it’s unnatural and wrong. i absolutely hated myself because i was gay and tried my ALL to change my sexuality. (A KID, hating themselves over something that’s immutable)
over the years of coming to terms with my sexuality, i’ve grown to love it. if you told my younger self that i accepted my sexuality, i would’ve laughed and thought you were joking! it took a while to get here but here i am.
seeing videos like this and representation like this makes me love myself even more. hell, seeing gay couples in real life and online when i was a teen made it a lot easier to come to terms with my sexuality. i felt normal for once, every time i saw them.
i’m not ashamed to admit that i love guys. it feels great knowing that kids nowadays are growing up in a world where people are more tolerant and accepting. i mean, i’m not old, only in my 20s, but the world has definitely come a long way!

This video makes me feel like I’m missing out. I love the visuals, it’s all gorgeous, and you are so beautiful as always, Troye. But god, I wish I had access to living out my sexuality in the way it’s idealized and idolized here, but I don’t, you know. This video is like a hyper-reality I don’t have access to, and that makes me feel sad. It’s like a thick line under the already prevailing feeling of having missed out on something in life as a gay person. But oooh, I absolutely love that young people can grow up with this video in the world, it’s magnificent to think that they can witness this kind of “iconography” because it sort of permits them to free themselves. It says: “you’re okay, now go, have fun, enjoy, feel, cry, laugh, be alive.”

Honestly, I don't really like this video clip. For a song that really means the power of love, the clips are only showing spice and lust between the lovers instead of "love". Me and my gay partner indeed are really loving this song, no lie, but not really like the new "Troye" and clips. It's actually creating our stigma worse. But well, lot of community loves the song, I hope he creates another public vid clip for this song. 🌈🌈🌈
@@nmbp5482 I kinda agree with you to that because I also think this is like too mature (i think) for public audience and highlight or represent love as giving or showing intemacy to others in a sexual way of some sort but nevertheless I am happy because it shows with all honestly the burning desire that one has to offer especially to those they love despite their races and differences. As a young queer guy waiting to be loved by someone, this makes me feel like I belong because this is a piece of who I am (sorry for my bad english)
