Hi Ellen! 👩🏻🎨I don’t often leave comments but I had to stop by and tell you that as a fairly new subscriber to your channel I think you are incredibly talented and thank my lucky stars that you are sharing it with the public! Raised in a family of watercolorists; my father built me an easel when I was 3&1/2 years old and slapped a paintbrush in my hand!! I was quite good until I became an adult and pursued a career as a make up artist for film and television. Now I’m 64 and so far winning the struggle against lung cancer. I am retired & do nothing but paint watercolors with my TH-cam tutorials and you are quickly becoming one of my favorites! Sometimes I think that this may have more to do with the fact that I am still alive than we even know about! (I’m referring to loving painting watercolors all day!) It truly keeps my spirits up during literally the toughest time of my life! It’s amazing what art can do for one’s soul…BTW, I tried this project and it came out absolutely stunning! Added a French wired ribbon to each one, too. (I drew & punched a hole in the top where the wire would be.) Again, thank you for the inspiration and sharing your simple yet wonderful ideas! Please feel free to look me up on Instagram: @dayinjune. There, I do nothing but digital portrait work. Fondly and with great appreciation, June🌹🌹🌹
June Courtland-Burke omg what an incredible comment and the fact that you are going back to art I am sure is very healing. I am so glad your winning your struggle- today there is so much amazing info to heal - I personally know someone here in MA who has cured tons holistically ( mark Mincolla) I will keep you in my prayers and will keep bringing the fun for your healing ! 🙏🏻 you were making art on faces forever now it’s on paper! FYI my dad is a fine artist @paulcrimi is his IG 😊
Ellen Crimi-Trent- Artist 👩🏻🎨 Dearest Ellen,You have no idea how your answer to my comment raised my spirits this evening! Thank you so much… it meant the world to me! Art is definitely healing and I am in the middle of composing a letter to you that I was going to leave on your amazing website which explains why I can’t finish it tonight and hopefully will get it to you tomorrow but I had to come here immediately to let you know that your blog would not allow me to leave a comment and I tried pasting it and composing it somewhere else, I tried everything LOL!! I’m not a techie either, so I know how you feel. I am struggling to put up a website myself! I thought you would want to know this piece of information right away. Also, I am sending you a very special poem that I wrote in 2013 that I know you will relate to. I hope you enjoy it dear Ellen and have a wonderful evening. Thanks for making mine! PS: I was blown away by your website. Your blog too. It is all absolutely stunning! "ART" Art is the ability to express one's inner voice without fear of judgment or limitations. It was great to see you zoomed in really close on these ornaments it would be great to see that close zooming in all of your videos! Love, love, love your videos!
Thanks again for simple and elegant watercolor ideas for holiday cards. Gonna make a couple of these and the snowmen, and then, I will be done with holiday cards!!, Your tutorials are absolutely marvelous, Ellen. Thanks for taking the time .
Oooooo- this gives me a great idea! I have LOTS of floral paintings that I've cast aside- but I know I can find parts in them that would make great Christmas baubles- will add some gold.Yours are very pretty.
I've been thinking I could use a circle punch on some failed watercolor paintings and make ornament cards that way. Adding the metallic is a good idea.
FAB video! Music reminds of Tony Hart :) Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’m sure I’ll have a beautiful blob at the end but will definitely give it a go :)
You are my newest addiction! Such simple demos, when does the book come out? Also, how does one get on YOUR Christmas card list?!? Lucky ducks! What a treasure! I'd frame it. Beautiful.
What a lovely grouping of Xmas cards, Ellen. I recently got to the point that people can actually recognize my roses AS roses! Lol. They look a lot like your pretty pink ones here. But! HOW does one stop from adding more and more petals? I use too much paint and grand, huge subjects. Just LOVE this stuff, 24/7. I'm assuming we're all in that same club? Anyway, gorgeous ideas, Ellen, thank you! Fanna Turano Denver, CO (formerly of Newport, RI!)
