    There's a reason Faye doesn't get work anymore, and it's because she's "totally impossible," as Bette Davis once said on Johnny Carson. She did it to herself, and has no one to blame but herself. It's too bad, because she could be quite wonderful on screen.

    • @SunsetBoulevard111

      That is not accurate at all. Faye went on to act in many movies after working with Bette Davis. Remember, right now she is 80 years of age so maybe she would Iike to take it easy and enjoy the fruits of her labor for once. You make it sound like we are currently in the 1970's. 😅. Look at Faye's movie roster on the internet; she has made tons of movies since working with Bette
      Also, Bette Davis was also known to be very difficult to work with.
      Read some biographies or listen to some video interviews from actresses of that time period . Bette Davis was no joke. Crawford was the most difficult.

      @@SunsetBoulevard111 There's a difference between working and getting good work. Faye never managed to recover from Mommie Dearest and no one in the industry cared to help her, if she has been nicer she likely would have been given more of a shot but they didn't need her anymore and Faye was too impossible to deal with for it to be worth it. Bette did suffer the same fate. She got lucky with Baby Jane but though she worked until her death, her career was largely done by 1950 when Eve came out.

    Acting and indeed performing arts in any medium can easily create neurotic behaviors. It is not easy for every talent to manage. Some breeze through it all. Others become total hell to work with. Not everyone is Angela Lansbury or a Sally Field type. Many leading ladies especially back then lost the ability to de stress. Consequently thier livers became a mess spouting rage and/or feeding into addictions. The biz also last century chose people based more on the entirety of the performers skill set . Nowadays in film its all what ever is easiest in the role where the dialogue could be managed by virtually anyone and the look more generic. In one way then we got incredible performances with unique faces and equally mesmeric vocal quality with strong acting chips full of variation and delivery. Sadly now its serviceable, hyper trendy even just an unfinished raw style. Dunaway was very theatrical and could command the winds. As Selena in "Supergirl" she was disturbingly believable as she was utterly camp. No small feat frankly. An incredible American actress. A true legend.

    It's so sad to hear these countless rude outbursts from Faye Dunaway to fellow colleagues. Mental illness is no excuse for poor behaviour and it's the sheer consistency of them all that paints a pretty bleak picture about her. I have always been a fan of her work, but as a person, not so much.

    Faye Dunaway is a great actress and the last of the Great Movie Stars. I always liked Vaccaro but she was never in the same category as Dunaway. Who cares what Dunaway had to do in order to deliver brilliant performances. When you look at a painting by Picasso or Rembrandt do you care if he was rude to his wife or maid? Judge the art and not the artist.

    • @JloveLamar
      @JloveLamar ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Oh honey, literally everybody in the world knows that Faye Dunaway treated every staff from every single film she was in, bad. Faye is an amazing actress, absolutely amazing and fabulous! But yes, it was a very well known thing that Faye had a lot of issues when it came to treating people who was simply doing their work. I'm saying this because yes, we do care (people HAS to care about this, in fact) and your point is kinda invalid since it's also known that Faye was backlisted in Hollywood exactly because of her behavior. So… do your research, lol

    • @AndreinaGarban

      You can be the greatest talent in the whole world. And that doesn't give you the right to treat people like crap and being a freaking disrespectful person. Everyone in a set is doing their job and EVERYONE is important. And there are two types of DIVA's. The one who are talented, gorgeous and professionals. And the ones who are talented, gorgeous and rude, behaving like spoiled brat kids! NO JUSTIFICATION for treating people badly, not being on time, and not knowing their lines. Talent by itself cannot make a career.

    • @stevenfraser81
      @stevenfraser81 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Faye Dunaway used to abuse and even hit make up and wardrobe people. How is that justified to get a good acting performance? Method actors are just assholes, its an excuse to act like a dick and then say you were "in character." Any other job where you behaved like that and you'd be fired and never work again. What an embarrassing comment.
