The lead singer was my uncle Lawrence. he was married to my mother's sister, Aunt Mae who died in 1963. Aunt Doretha Skipper was also my mother's younger sister. I was privileged to sing with this amazing group at Calvary Baptist Church in Eulonia, Ga. on New Year's Eve 1985.

I'm blessed to have had an opportunity to hear this jewel. May their spirit live on through their descendants. May God continue to bless the ancestors and those that come after them.

It is so amazing and beautiful to be able to see clips like this of my family members who have passed on this tradition to me and who i miss so dearly. To see my great grandmother and my great great aunt and my cousins who i learned these songs from and who taught me to beat the stick. Ibae I miss you a so much. The only person in this clip still living is Catherine Campbell.

Im glad you found this clip enjoyable. I will try to upload the rest of the videos I have access to. I have one more clip of the McIntosh Shouters on the channel, but a still few more that haven't been uploaded.

Hello. Lawrence is my grandmother’s brother. Are you related to him on his mother’s or father’s side?
