Were the charging units ok? I've got one giving 12.5 volts output and the machine refuses to charge...should be about 7-8 volts... Inside the secondary of the transformer gives 8.5 v ac before the rectifier block but arrives at the output pins at 13 vots.. too much so the gun won't accept a charge.. any ideas?
Two chargers just needed cleaning but one needed repair. Video in a few weeks. Your voltages sound correct. I have tested three chargers and they all put out about 12v unloaded. The screwdriver circuit board must bring this down to about 4 volts to charge the Li-Ion battery.
Thanks for the reply. I tried Bosch useless 'Bot but XX. SOo after testing the rectifer diodes I changed the capacitor on the pcb and it worked...no the output is 7v DC. Not sure if the capacitor is compatible or correct voltage but I got the polarity right and it seems OK. Don't know how long it will last but we'll see! Funny but my other ixo has a transformer plug like a phone charger, this one bought secondhand is mains direct into the charging station. Keep up the good work. Cheers John.

Well the battery lasted the length of the video, which is all you need. But would not suggest this if it was for a pacemaker! 🙂
I fixed these three months ago and the battery is still fine. Who knows!😁

should have just replaced the battery when you had it de-soldered and saved yourself some bother..
True!
