I cannot imagine how terrifying it would be to just see a historical figure that died a long time ago
I think my favorite White House ghost story is where in 1942, Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was visiting President Roosevelt and she spent the night in the Lincoln bedroom. Late at night, she heard a knock at the door and when she went to open it, there stood Abraham Lincoln and she fainted.

My favorite White House ghost story is Winston Churchill's. Apparently late one night after he had gotten out of the bathtub, he walked into his room naked with a cigar in his mouth and saw Lincoln leaning against a nearby fireplace. Churchill then took the cigar from his mouth and proceeded to tell Lincoln's ghost, "Good evening, Mr. President. You seem to have me at a disadvantage." Churchill then said Lincoln smiled softly, as if to laugh, then vanished.
then Churchill ran naked down the hallway to where Roosevelt was because he was so frightened.
How would they even know that it is Jackson swearing? I mean they don’t know his voice, do they?
Ngl id be more spooked seeing Churchill naked than seeing a ghost

My uncle worked at the whitehouse and he is the sweetest man. He told me he was walking around and guarding when he saw a figure that looked like Abraham Lincoln

in the late 1940's it was gutted and rebuilt. Before that it was said to be extremely haunted. After all the insides were replaced, much less so.
Yeah the ghost were pissed about the condition of the house, once fixed up, they were satisfied.

I don’t understand, why everyone is making so big show around it. That building is old as f, of course it has to have spirits of previous owners. I’ve worked in museum 4 years ago, and we asked the director, what’s up on it. This old man was the dirrector of that museum for several decades, and he was verry well known by peoples, and employees of other museum, because he bring that place back to it’s previous glorry and fame, he created event, which is now known, and respected by a peoples not only from Slovakia, where I live, but also visitors from other European countries comming back to enjoy this event. And he also remembers earlyer times, when there wasn’t cameras, and all the safety systems, so he sometimes stayed there, and guarded the place trough the nights, so he told us yes, of course this place has it’s own spirits wandering arround the hallways, stairs, amd other rooms. Necause that building was built in 17’th century, maybe even earlyer, so naturaly it has to have it’s ghosts, which are connected to that house. That’s normal, and it does not mean, it is hounted. Just respect them, and respect the reality of it. And by the way, he wasn’t only one, who told me, it’s true. Lots of ex-employees told me. J
