    Hi just wondering If you went with friends bc I’m quite worried I’ll be quite lonely bc I’m the only one going

    • @olahuk
      @olahuk  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hiya! I came here by myself actually. I was worried about this too! I came from a state school, and a lot of my friends who came from private school already knew of people coming here, but most found other friends during the year. As long as you trust yourself and step out of your comfort zone at times, you will find people who are very similar to you. I actually also made most of my friends in second year. It’s also completely fine to feel overwhelmed and worried regarding friends, but trust when i say absolutely everyone is feeling the same and everyone is wanting to make friends. Hope this helps!

      @@olahuk I’m thinking of applying to dagfa for next year would you recommend it ?

    • @olahuk
      @olahuk  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chantal6580 hi.. YES! Totally… it’s definitely one of the nicer accoms and the hall managers here are very nice and things get fixed quickly. The only downsides are that in the cheaper rooms there are about 12 ppl per house and it can get quite loud, but parties or pres are common in every uni accom. The rooms are quite nice and so are bathrooms and common rooms etc. also, at the moment there are only 3 washing machines and 3 driers for over 200 people, so you have to time ur washing correctly but you should be fine between lectures on weekdays usually. Please lmk if you have other questions I’ll be very happy to answer (my ig is @olahuk_)

    • @lucyfabulous
      @lucyfabulous ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@olahuk I want to know how intense it is to study in universities in the UK, cause I am considering going to UK to pursue a master degree

    • @olahuk
      @olahuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lucyfabulous this definitely depends on the course and which university you go to. I find that I can have my normal sleep schedule and I can allow myself to sleep in and have early nights as I please, however my friends in other universities studying different courses may have a more packed, busy schedule. Generally It’s easy for me to wake up late and sleep early and fit work in between. However I am in my first year and things will get more intense later or during exams but I would say it’s pretty comfortable and flexible for me… hope that helps ;)
