Just a piece of advice from my A pillar experience; measure and check fitment thoroughly before welding 🤣 Granted it made great content but it was not good for my mental health. STAY WARM!
@@SchmokesShop that would not be good. I will say that the nuts in the quarter panel I have are all out of place. I believe I'm going to have to do some extra patching because of it.
@@ChrisJEllis Yeah I was very discouraged but then I found out that it's just something modern restoration shops deal with... sad. I have been told by multiple people to source original parts if possible. I think I am going to check a few local junkyards when it warms up a bit...
@@SchmokesShop good thing my A pillars look to be in good shape. I'm finding out that the panels that are zinc coated are a better fit than the ones that are black.
The replacement channels look like decent quality. Can't wait to see more progress.
It does look nice. Hope it fits
New patch panels should make life a little easier chris!
It's a jigsaw puzzle..I'm trying to figure it out!
Heater channels look good quality Chris . Like you said get some rust proofing inside 👍
They do look good. Seems like all parts that are zinc coated are better quality then the black ones.
Looks like might be Zinc Coating? It's Good you can buy the parts & don't cost an arm & a leg too Chris!
It does look like that. They're out of good metal too.
Joe!!!
What about cold galvanizing? worth a look for those new parts and inside the body
I've never tried that, will look into it.
Panels look OK chris
They seem to be nice panels.

I'm trying to keep everything in place. So far so good. I'm trying to stay warm. It's -8 this morning.
BRRRRR, forget all that lol. Just FYI my issues came not from the car, but the stamping of the patch panel. The hinge holes were a 1/2" too high...
