Man the vocals are incredible here. It's so rare to hear a vocalist that can lead the band in the same way as an instrument can. Just incredible vocals.
That little moment at 3:25 when Charles looks and smiles to Jack, on cue with his drum fill, knowing _that's_ the take right before finishing is one of the many primary reasons I love Vulfpeck.
Going through a painful breakup, stressing about getting this new job. I know you all knew none of this, but thank you for releasing this today. Put the first smile on my face in while.
The demographic that loves Vulfpeck, is such a unique clique. A true music appreciating group, who is fascinated by all the little nuances of all their tunes. I am happy to be a part of that community.
I don't think that's unique to Vulfpeck. The Jazz and blues scene does the same, so does the metal scene. Any music genre that has some kind of emphasis on either technicality or vibe will always have fans that breaks down songs, licks, lyrics and so on. Ask anyone that's a hiphop superfan to explain what they think of how MF Doom rhymes, and they'll nerd out on you.
man, I used to listen to this song on repeat around November 2019 and I feel nostalgia already. I got that feeling yesterday, listening to it again after some months.
I feel like vulfpeck is a modern version of "the band". Out of zeitgeist music style, multiinstrumentalists, bass genious, incredible collabos and awesome live shows.
3:25 That last little look Charles gives Jack to end the song, and then seeing everybody react to his different fill. Absolutely wonderful. I love moments in music like that
That feeling when you suddenly stumble on a tune eventhough you late for 3 years like me..🤣Still so fresh. Deym youtube! Keep it up. But push em a little bit earlier. I don't want to wait another 3 years just to taste a new tune.🤣🤣 👌
I would pay millions just to sit in these rooms just to hear them jam...I love how out of the ordinary the videos are, all about the music and nothing else..
Holy crap i remember listening to vulfpeck back when they only had around 2000 viewers and now they're blowing up like spontaneous human combustion, really glad to say I've been a fan since before anyone had heard of them, i always said that they need to be noticed by the rest of the world because music like theirs needs to be heard and now it finally is!🙂

This song is a damn masterpiece. Deserves to be known as one of the best love songs of this decade, but will probably only be appreciated by this clique
Its from one of their live shows where they add "passive" to them introducing Joe Dart. I can't remember which one off the top of my head right now. I'll look it up.
This that kind of wholesome funk to drive home early from work on a Friday afternoon when you and the bros - or the girls (no discrimination here fam) - are gonna get together and forget about relationships and simply chill over in the basement at Jimmy's house - or Marla's house (no worries fam, we don't discriminate) - with a fridge full of beers and a stack of pizzas and enjoy each other's company.
If you guys don't end up very, very rich from making your music then there is no justice in the world. Like, I'm sure money isn't why you do it but you deserve it for making such beautiful sounds.

I love how excited Theo gets after that badass run at 2:48. They probably had to do all the other retakes trying to prefect that and when they did he couldn’t handle the excitement.
Stratton you SLAYED this mix. What an honor
Ryan Lerman bringing his jazzmaster to Vulf is everything my life needed
You sir are an absolute legend.

Holy shit, Ryan playing with Vulfpeck doing a cover of his own original song? This is a cross over I can get behind.

It's called Do With You :')
hey thanks a ton for the name-drop! love his stuff
Theo’s reaction after that filthy lick at 2:48 makes me smile every time, even after watching this like 100 times.
That's one of the filthiest licks I've ever heard, and I salivate a lot 😛

Definitely agree!
Hey, me too. Such a delight.
The lick at 2.48 👌
I want to screen all future friends with Vulfpeck before anything else. This is my bar.

The quality of Vulfpeck recordings is just astounding to me. It's always so well done.
When I'm 90, I'm gonna cry hearing this
Even just hearing jack saying "rolling take 4 here we go" I know that nostalgia is gonna be thick

Woody’s note selection is so tasteful and precise
By the way, this is a new rendition of Lerman's song "Do With You" which was with Ben Folds.
Yeah, I didn't saw Lerman at first, then he filled with a solo.
best ben folds song since fred jones pt 2

1:54 This song is awesome, but those 15 seconds make it to a whole other level! Love it!
This is the audible equivalent of soul food
Charles’ little chuckle at 3:17 is so adorable lol he’s having so much fun
I love all songs written by Ryan Lerman
Ryan Lerman's music takes me to space and back, damn

Wanna collab
Killin it!! Such a funky groove. And they are just like right there. So tight! Vocals ! WHUT?? SOOOO good|!
How is it fair that Joey Dosik can be a boss on sax as well as piano, vocals and guitar (and probably other stuff I haven't seen him play yet!)??
He's probably better than you in bed and fidget spinners too.
Steve Lewis Fidget Spinners?!? NOOOOOOO.🤣
Some say he went to summerschool with Jack Stratton back in the 1920's and they actually inventet the saxophone, that is why he is so good.
Show this band to kids in school as part of anti drug campaigns. Seriously. This is all the high you need
I showed this to my fourth graders as a music teacher and they gave it a standing ovation
Snare sounding like a dang kick with that thump. Stratton is the snare whisperer.
everything this band drops puts a big sappy smile on my face and makes me chicken nod for the extent of the song. God Bless
vulfpeck playing their instruments
Jack: lost in the groove
Joe: straight bobbin
Woody: vibing
Theo: just happy to be there

There's Ryan Lerman!!! This is insane, guys!
I'm sat here with my DT 770's in the dark, weeping. Bravo.
My new favorite vulfpeck tune! And thank you for leaving the bits of laughter on the vocal track. It's good fun.

That passage perfectly represents this band: Tight as hell.
the smile after haha
Yep. True Vulf fashion. Minimal arrangement with one perfect fill at the perfect moment.

Joe Dart on the passive Fender Bass!!
Yeah he used it for the pancake song too! Interesting choice..
How can you tell? I own both a passive and active but I have no clue how you nailed that...
Its from one of their live shows where they add "passive" to them introducing Joe Dart. I can't remember which one off the top of my head right now. I'll look it up.
Thanks man!
On the topic of passivism
all those smiles, they knew they nailed this take
Beautiful new song! Can’t wait to hear more.
Uuuuuuuuuugh. Now my neck hurts. So much groove. 🔥🔥🔥

Amazing voice. Feel it with every strand of your soul.
Every song by Vulfpeck warms my heart
If only, to sit in on a session though. Such an incredible vibe these guys give off.
Thank you so so soooo much. Thank you !!!
It is impossible for me to love this band even more. Excelent track
A rare thing this: Joey Dosik hops on the sax.
And not only that... He slays.
My children will grow up knowing the beauty of Vulfpeck

it's "no thanks." probably because the original was "fuck that"
I think he sings No offense
It’s def “no thanks.” Original song says “fuck that” instead
Is it not "telling that I'm giving up on you "?
These guys are the dopest!!! The work just becomes so much more creative! Shout out to Joey and Katz!
Charles Jones the BEAST!
Soul food.
Vulfpeck are the most important thing in soul since 70s

Funktastic!
Very much looking forward to the LP!
This was my most played spotify song of 2019. It's highly addictive and should definitely be illegal!
My band director played this song and I just had to give it a listen. That day I discovered my new favorite group.
