I don’t do the read a book a day/week because I find people do it to satisfy a quota but miss the substance. I would recommend people pick one subject, then start reading a number of books on that subject before moving onto the next subject.
Or choose a veriaty of books that you can reread and everyone always says whenever they reread a book they learn/understand something they did not before
This is good stuff man. Deep down I had questioned the while mass reading thing, depth changes you into those books, allows you not just to observe. Awesome perspective!
This video just gave me clarity. now I know what to do. Thanks a lot for sharing this, 5year old video just helped me solve a problem I have been battling since I started my entrepreneurship journey
Ask people that race to read as many books as possible a simple question like: so what was the book about, what did the author really tried to express, or how did it help you? 8/10 times i get a blank stare. Comprehension & the joy of reading trump the number of books someone “reads”. Stay safe and healthy everyone!
Then I don't think it's applicable. If I were to still apply it, you could use it in terms of finding what Genre really suits you? Like you read Dystopian, Historical, Fantasy, and then choose what type of Fiction is really a fit for you. But coming to square 1, there will always be fun in novelty.
I think reading is not just skimming through the text or be in s rush to read as many as u can. Buddha could read so fast that he simply flipped through the pages slowly and he could even retain all the information in memory. Everyone's reading speed vary but at the end of the day we read to learn and for fun. If u r getting one out of the two I guess it's worth it. And also sometime when u simply read for enjoyment u don't need to retain that information. It's more like a passing phase.u read u enjoy that's it.
This content is gold. Thanks, Iman! Also, Have you ever considered making a video about your vlog setup tour? You can talk about which camera, phone and mic etc, you use in your videos. I'm sure plenty of people (including me) will find it VERY helpful as many of them are looking to start their own youtube channel.
The value in this video is great! I have been taking the depth approach without realising to be honest. The way you worded this is perfect 👌🏾 This video has made me realise even more I can’t get distracted by other things. Thank you Iman 🙏🏾
I think The point is spending more time reading and less time playing video games, Facebook, porn or texting. It's quite easy to read a book a week if you prioritize your time.
Great advice man. I find myself on information overload a lot of the times. Cant cut you off but im going to have to start cutting up some other people. Too much value and reliability with you.
I totally agree. After 50 books i read after 6 months, the information I got was killing me, because I could not apply it all, the information was too massive.
@@akisi1401 I mean that the information is so broad and deep, that because I am constantly learning more and more because of all the books. I do not have the time to use the information so I learn it on a deeper level. It's like learning math, and only getting in life situations, where you can use addition and subtraction. Sometimes one needs a lot of time in life to reflect on the material to fully use it in different ways.
Iman, I subscribed because of your ad where you polarise your audience, "press the skip button". It's a little money saving hack I give my clients to save on marketing spend, but you nailed it fella, you did it in a way that draws you in, regardless. Great job, you have a new subscriber here and I'll be sharing your content. Keep it up!
Tons of value in this video :) I get what you’re saying Iman but I’m wondering: how do you feel about someone like warren buffet, who creates 200 billion in revenue a year and reads 500 pages a day on different articles/books/news? I understand the idea of going into depth in one area of mastery, but would you say that it’s counterproductive to be looking at new content beyond just what you’ve already read and what’s working for you in your field? Looking forward to hearing back from you dude :)
The video content is about the truth about deep learning and shallow learning. Information overflow is really a difficult issue to lead you the actual success. So we should follow atleast 1/2 successful person to get the right to reach the success. Only read those things which can change your current problem rather to acquire bunch of knowledge
I'd rather read a good book that takes me a month and I retain the information and act on it then speed read a book every 5 to 7days and only remember a paragraph or 2. Young people are cute.
News flash bro. You didn't read any of those books unless you had a dictionary next to that book to define every word you read that you thought you understood the meaning too. Especially that self help stuff. You didn't read em'. You perused em.
Hi there Iman, I will definitely be buying both the SMMA and personal branding courses relatively soon as they are both things i am interested in pursuing. However at this moment in time I may only have the finances to buy one of them. I was just wondering from your perspective which one I should invest in first.
Hey, Iman! About follow just 3 guys or ideology, why not follow also some opposite ideology to know the both sides? I don't talk very well english so can be a little bit difficult to understand what I'm trying to say :)

A big hug from Argentina!
What if you’re reading just to read for the fun of it or as a hobby ?

Why do we monetize every single thing ? Books can be read and observed for various other traits as well

I have way of the wolf as well. It's good! Do you listen to audiobooks as well?
JohanRickardt_yt can you send it to me please?
I can't afford any of Iman's paid programs, hence I'm extracting all the content free.

Liam Conlan Hey Liam! Definitely start with the SMMA course first 🔥
Cheers mate, much appreciated. Up early again I see! Early bird catches the worm ;)
Update us man
Have you become successful and happy in your own terms?
We usually only retain 8-10% of what we learn. So you need to read a book 10-15 times to master the information.
Hey, Iman!
