It takes me several hundreds of pounds and an incalculable amount of time to sort through used bulk to acquire enough quantity of an individual piece or piece type to make it worthwhile to sell. As you stated, I do it for a living, so it's a reasonable expectation, but it is an arduous task. To piggyback off another comment, the amount of human hair, dirt, grime, kinnex/megablox, dead insects, etc that I come across would be enough to turn most people off from ever touching used bulk. I also hope my washer doesn't break on me one of these days..

I stopped when I was sifting through dirty parts with hair and gum. They are always heavily used too.
