The whole movie is based on this classic legendary story of vikram( a king) and vedhalam/vedha( a ghost ) where the ghost tells the King some stories on the King's way of hunt and asks the moral of the story along with his opinion of who is right and who is wrong and if the King answers correctly the ghost will leave him alone or else his head will be bursted so similarly here the cop depicts the King's role in real life and vedha the gangster who depicts the ghost tells him stories of his life and asks him who is right and who is wrong and that's why they showed the cartoon at the start of the movie
