I like the strip lights cause you can mount them in unused areas and they don't waste space. Thanks for the video.

Great video as always - Enjoy the details on what & where you got your gear.

After almost a year I didn’t realize there were usb ports in the reading lights! Great video. I like your new lights. I find having adequate lighting is very important.

Glad I could provide some info for you. The USB ports are not high output, but they are there if needed. I don't use them but I can see if you had some string lights in the sleeping quarters you could plug them in there.

I love the reading lights. I added a shelf below the cubby and moved the lights below the shelf. Much handier and we use the usb plug often. Like your junction box idea.

Thanks. You were smart to move the lights below the cubby. I should probably move mine, but then again, when I ordered the Hiker, I threw them in as "yeah, that will be useful" and now I'm not sure I really use them to their full potential. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your light mods, etc. I'm a amateur radio operator also, and recognize your Anderson connectors as excellent recommendations when doing electrical mods. Just ordered Hiker, soon to be built. Looking over all those mods TH-cam videos to plan my next step after picking up trailer. Got a long list, indeed. Have cabinetry, electrical, and mechanical experience in previous trailers, the last major mods in Aliner Scout Light. Have also done POTA activations on my yearly trips to NM and AZ, and Field Day in NGA. Really excited to do my build out, upcoming on Hiker Midrange, 5x9 in orange! Thanks again for all your videos. KJ4BAD, in KY.

Awesome! Nice to meet a fellow ham that has a Hiker. I think there are about a dozen of us that I know of. Welcome! I'm thinking about mounting a screwdriver antenna and mounting a FT-891 in my Hiker full time so I don't have to remove anything if it rains or I want to do some quick POTA hunting. You should make plans to come to HTCE7 next year.

@squaredropadventures just trying to wait to get my trailer built, but yes would like to find out more about #7. I run screwdriver Tarheel II with Icom 7000 mobile, etc. Have FT 891 as my portable POTA and use old Outbacker multiband verticle on aluminum tripod from Alpha Delta. Had for years. Also have tried hamstick dipole 20 meters on pushup when out West. Had rooftop tent on trailer. Was out 3 weeks in NM and AZ. Tough on a 74 year old, ha!
