I love what you do. You're amazing. It shocks me how people don't stop listening to you, one can hear the dedication and soul. I love great music, and you're good at it.

I’m a looping musician and perform 100+ gigs a year, and I have no clue what you’re doing. Lol. You’re a freak in the BEST way possible.🤘Rock on brother!! I will get to the bottom of all your footwork. It’s what us “loopers” do. Challenge accepted!!! 😎
Just a heads up: Your 'my vocal mic' link and 'my wireless guitar system' links on your gear page are both for the vocal mic. Wireless link needs to be updated :)
Matt is so accomplished and so good. It’s amazing that with all those people walking by that no one even stops to watch and listen. Maybe the ones watching are out of sight. I hope that’s it
Thank you! This is outside in front of the Ferry Building at the port of San Francisco. Literally thousands and thousands of people. There were about 30 tables in front of me with people sitting and watching and many many people would walk by, stop and take a quick picture/video and carry on their way. Out of frame are tons of people that stop and watch a song. I've explained in lots of comments that 95% of my performances are not concerts. People are not there specifically to see music. They just happen to pass by and some people stop and watch and most just continue on. Most people, in general, are oblivious to music performances..good or bad. Everyone likes to *think* they are way into music but most people need to be told what is actually good and what isn't. That goes for all art. I've seen it a thousand times. A "free performance of music" at the ferry building...people have VERY low expectations, for good reason. Haha. That being said, the occasional person that sees me and *gets it* is what it's all about. Those people will often tell others something like "isn't this amazing?". And that will sometimes shock people out of their obliviousness. I'm glad you found my videos and performances and can appreciate the quality and effort I put into them. But I definitely don't expect everyone to. Especially on a busy thoroughfare in a major metropolitan area. Haha.
Hi Matt, I wanted to tell you that you are a great musician and loop master. In addition to the player mastery, I also like your sound. How do you record it? Do you use the tablet to change some parameters, e.g. sound? Greetings Vlado from the center of Europe 😎
Thank you. The tablet is just lyrics, livestream chat, and the messages app to text my wife during the show if I need to. Everything is recorded live on the fly with the Boss RC-600 loop pedal.
@MattBoltonMusic I would love to know the software you use on your main iPad. Is it that, or the Midi Captain that changes parameters, or do you send CC on the fly?
My iPad I use three apps. 1)Safari to read the livestream chat. 2)A lyrics app to see the lyrics (It has issues so I don’t endorse it but I’m stuck with it). 3)And the messages app to occasionally send texts during the show. For example , during this show I was texting the security guard the booking agent provided me to ask his opinion on how the volume was out in the audience and also communicate if sketchy looking characters were getting too close to the stage area as I was in a very public space with thousands of people walking by. It’s not connected to my gear in any way. I’m not really doing anything fancy with parameter changes or anything with any of my gear. Just using guitar pedals and a looper. The midi captain sends CC commands to control the looper, but only so I can access things faster. I just use it as a shortcut. It’s not necessary. You can do everything on the rc-600 itself. Relying on midi is dangerous imo. That’s it.
Hi, Matt. I don't know if you are updating to v1.40 but I can tell you that doesn't work for me. The same issues as v1.30 😡😡😡😡I'll comeback to v1.21... ¡¡ Again !!😢😢😢😢
I figured as much. They seem to have abandoned the old tempo algorithm and now expect you to “help” the looper by telling it the tempo BEFORE you record. Purportedly to prevent double time tempos and half time inadvertent tempos. It causes more problems than it solves. Every day someone emails me and tells me they’re having issues with tempo detection since the update. I wish I had a way to directly communicate with @bossinfoglobal I would love to explain to them the issues I’ve discovered with the pedal and suggestions how to fix them. I’ve sold so many of these pedals (with Amazon associate program statistics to prove it) I wish they would reach out to me for some R&D.
@@MattBoltonMusic It sucks because there are a lot of features that are type 1 type 2, 1 being the way rc-300 did it and 2 a newer algo. Why in the hell didn't they do that for beat detection?
I love what you do. You're amazing. It shocks me how people don't stop listening to you, one can hear the dedication and soul. I love great music, and you're good at it.
I don't understand why people can't stop and listen for a moment and give some respect to this amazing performer.
i love watching this dude ..the hendrix of the looper world for sure
Talent is overflowing here

@@MattBoltonMusic Thank you for explaining this... You are good.... really good.
I’m a big fan. I am in town for a concert and was at the Ferry Terminal Tuesday! I wish I could have seen you live.
Bummer! Hope My Morning Jacket was good. Haha.

show, man.
New rc-600 firmware 1.4. Love to hear if it resolves the quantize issue for you.
It does not. They seem to have abandoned the algorithm. It's a damn shame.

Man, that keyboard bouncing made me nervous.
That's on purpose!
