you didn't get paid for that bale because I hear there is an undercover FIB agent in Riverbend Springs trying to stop all these corrupt farming practices. He is onto you!
In any future situation where you aren’t sure if you should post a video like that, I think you should definitely post it. Even if it’s not the answer you were expecting or hoping for, it’s still informative. I was wondering this exact thing
My guess would be the silage bales the game has to let you pick them up to wrap them and the hay doesn't so they have some sort of setting to only let you pick up silage bales.
Something I've noticed with fs25 contracts. You can purchase the land while doing the contract, it doesn't end the contract. So try purchasing the field during the contract, finish it, collect payment. Maybe by purchasing the land, the bales will stay and be able to take them. This works with mowing contracts, I baled the grass after purchasing contracted land, collected payment to complete contract, then took the grass by bale or forage pickup before selling land back, kept every liter of grass.
Basically flipping the field and getting a contract too. That's interesting. I have mixed feelings about flipping fields. It feels a little cheaty but if I'm playing solo and having fun, who cares. Also, it's nothing new, people did it in 22 so they could have prevented it in 25 if they wanted.
Thanks for the shoutout MrSealyP, glad it helped you out 😊 It took me a couple of evenings to test this out too 😂 I know straw bales can for some reason be picked up with pallet forks.! which is strange due to it not working with spikes or grabbers.
I am playing on PC for the square bale contract, I own the square baler, the baler usually have 2 full bales and a partial by the time the contract hits 100%, if you collect the contract they remain in the baler when all the ones in the ground vanish, if you go and dump them and sell you get paid normally, it is only the final 2 bales though.
That's a handy tip for those playing somewhat realistically. Edit: I already knew about what's left in the baler. Others may not have known about either
Has anyone else noticed when you load things on trailers and strap them down the weight of the item is reduced to help with tipping. I first noticed it on wood transport contracts. And again loading 20k cotton bales on a trailer they went from 4t to 100kg when strapped. 👌 bravo Giants. Edit: pallets don’t seem to be affected… so just wood and bales?
I think the bail trick is that when wrapping you are changing the owner state. In the XML it's marked as a contract bail, so if you turn it in you will lose them.
You can also get money for crop harvesting as well. I did this with peas and another vegetable. The trick is to finish the field harvest before turning in your last wagon full. I found it helps to have your own trailer and just let it sit near the turn in. This will let you clear the field since it will not hit 100% until you dump your last trailer load. Once the field is clear, then turn in your last trailer(s) and you'll complete the field and get credit for the remaining crop.
Lol. This isn't a trick. It's always worked like that. There is always leftover crop on every contract you do. You can sell it or keep it for yourself. You just have to make sure you put it in your silo before you complete the contract if you're not using your own equipment.
@@Adam-tp6ch I tried to use the Macdon swather on a harvest contract to see if I would get the extra crop yield, but unfortunately it wouldn't let me use the Macdon on a contract.
@@Adam-tp6ch A better trick is to simply buy the land, harvest the previous owners hard work then sell him the barren field back to him to manage for next season. 🤣
I watched another youtuber doing the same test. His result was do not collect the contract, wait until the bales are silagebales and put them in a feedermixer. Then you can use them for feed of you can sell them.
So when it comes to Mowing and also the Baling contracts...for mowing I'm wondering if you mow, then bale/wrap, stick in storage, can you keep all those silage bales if done before you collect?
You probably have to use them to keep them. It's like the deadwood contracts. I have a sawmill on the farm and fill it with the deadwood then pile a couple trees of overstock beside it. When the contract finishes the extra wood disappears but the wood in the sawmill stays put. I don't think just taking them to the farm will change anything. You probably have to use them. If you put them in a barn or something as food or bedding, you will keep that, but a loose bale on the farm will vanish. Keep in mind I'm typing this before watching your whole video so if it's answered or confirmed I didn't know but this is what I'd guess.
I've been wondering why giants never made a contract that you do everything from plowing to harvest and you get paid by the amount you do so if you dont plow cultivate fertilize or weed you lose that much of the contract
The bridge over 34 35 you cannot take the chopper to take out the heads on shugger beets because the bridge doesnt allow. Love you sir you ar the goat bleet to the people loadly. As we are to you. (I appritiate everything you do because you show our sadness and anoyyence. Xx).
I don't know if you've seen the similar stuff going around on deadwood contracts and the small sawmill; maybe any contract where the product isn't being sold, as part of the contract, can be placed into a container of some kind, to keep. (or used for further manufacturing) Assuming one can manipulate said product.
I sent you the link to his video, you're welcome. I don't know why it use my screen name on comments instead of my real name. I play on PS5. Jason McDaniel
The wife did this in FS22. She'd take enough bales to the sell point to fulfill the contract, then pick up the rest for herself. After she had them back home, she'd complete the contract and get paid.
The in game bale and storage just put a tractor on the loading block to stop the bales from re-entering the bale and storage and then you can retrieve them
If you look at the XML files in the save folder you can see that the bales are associated with the mission. It might work if you sell them or use them before claiming the reward for the mission.
My feedback only (not insults or angry comment): IMO, this video was way too long. I gave up after 20 mins. Some useful info, I'm sure, but too much exposition and waffling about whether or not you'd post the video. Just my opinion, but that's what I like about FarmerCop testing videos. They get to the meat of the information quickly and present the results concisely.
Slightly off topic but I did a bale wrapping contract with the Anderson wrapper (which doesn't work on contracts btw) so I failed the contract, the wrapped bales remained in the field after and were marked as owned by me but I still didn't get paid for them when I sold them.
when it comes to trying to lift the straw bails off the field since the bale spike doesnt work what about the square bale quick loader will it work with that
I take back everything I've said bad about the game! I don't know what's happened but the graphics are absolutely amazing looking now on ps5.. they just look so crisp and clean, really nice. Have had no game crashes for a couple of days now.
Even in 22 it took 96 in game hours to ferment bales... I stopped baling sileage and used a silo fairly early on, as it was faster. I havent tried in 25.
Honestly Paul, like you said "it's information sharing". It's important to share as the game develops. We KNOW from 15 to 17 to 19 to 22 to 25 there's been any number of things that change (often radically) in the early days/weeks after a new release as Giants doesn't ever really TELL us their "intention" when things change or even give us fully flushed out "patch notes" describing not just the WHAT but also the WHY when something changes.
Exactly. This is about insight into game mechanics rather than advice about exploits. For example, that first bit where the contract wasn't complete until he brought them back to the field, especially combined with them previously being non-interactable once dropped, makes me think this behavior flows from updating the contracts system to avoid certain previous issues (specifically harvesting an entire field and not being able to complete the contract because you haven't delivered enough product).
I don't have a problem with exploring these sorts of things for exploration and education purposes, but as far as actually doing it in the game, you might as well just cheat in some money and buy some bales. If you don't want to play "honest" just skip the middleman and grab the government subsidy signs, no reason to jump through hoops.
Something I have not tried yet, but I noticed it was odd. You can't pick up bails from the ground from a bailing contract. But you can pick a bail off a bailer output with forks/spikes. I don't know if there's code that prevents picking it up when the bail is finally ejected and hits the ground or what is going on. But I have found that I can spike a bail on the bailer and pull it off. I thought it would be quite annoying to have to do that for each and every bail so I never made a test for it.
The 200 limit is bales ON the map. If you put them in storage they are no longer ON the map therefore using storage you can have as many bales as you want.
have you tested bailing up the swath from harvesting contracts? i think thats the version of this i watched recently, and i beleive they did get paid, but they sold the bails before collecting the contract reward. makes sense i guess as if the contract is related to the actual bail, it might be more specific about ownership, but the bits left on the field after harvest may not have an ownership programmed into it.
Good information, but i wont be doing it. At least not on my main game save file. Glitches or using loopholes is very cheaty and destroys the legitimacy of that save game. The only time i would use something like that trick on my main save file is if i bought something and it doesnt work as desired or something else goes wrong and I forgot to save beforehand and have to sell it 30 seconds later taking a massive loss, i would do it then. Like for example: on my main save game file on FS22, i bought the silo extension to store the extra slurry from the cow barn thinking i would have been able to get the slurry out of it. Didnt work like that and i sold it for a loss and bought a small field, harvested it and sold the product to get back the total value i spent on the silo extension. I wouldnt do that unless under that type of circumstance because again, the value of that save would have been lost to me.
Hi Mrsealyp question so let say you just farm the fields around the start farm. What happens to the fields that are further away that you don't buy even though they are ready to harvest just wondering 😊
They eventually change states. I'm not sure how quickly, and I'm not sure if they follow the seasonal planting/harvesting schedule, but they don't sit in one state indefinitely waiting for you to take the contract.
Another possible (but equally unreasonable) end-point problem: Will the silage bails even work as feed since they didn't work when selling? Will they just disappear when dropped in the feeding trough?

Your videos are looking much better, I don’t like the new bail/mowing contracts either. But with the ability to put them in your bail storage is handy. Keep up the good work and don’t worry about the upset commenters. They don’t know how to have fun
I have a question maybe one of your subcribers can help. I accepted a contract for harvesting sunflowers. I decided to cancel the contract and flip the field.,when I got to the field it was harvested. The contract still appears as “new” not “active” 410 hours overdue. Somehow it is preventing me taking on three contracts. I deleted it and it returned next month. Any ideas?
Mmm looks like the only way to pick up square bales is with the Arcusin autoload trailer which is pretty pricey when you start doing bales, c'mon Giants this problem needs sorting out. A great demo of how square bales "won't" pick up: Thanks MrSealyP for a very helpful video.
Well you posted it I guess but you never know till you try this and thank you for doing this for us big guy. And I see the point about FS22 but also your point you can’t do two thing at once. I’d like to see them do your job making content for us in which I thank you again. I’ll be getting the game as ithingK it’ll be to much for a console to handle
Folks, please stop critizising other peoples way of playing. It is a GAME. It is supposed to be PLAYED with. The world (....and the game) has no obligation to revolve around just you. Stop being so narrow minding. Live and let live.
Think ill only take 2 or 3. Make a deal with he farmer. The contracts in a whole I like. Broken up. It gives more to do and it's more friendlier for me and other people when we don't have much time to play
One more thing...the Dead Wood contracts, I do know that you can collect the dead wood, take it to the sawmill, make planks, and create inventory to repair the old grain mill. Get the new mod that lets you lease the production plants. Much cheaper to get started.
Realism or not , they are not your bales. The contract said wrap the bales not steal them. And its not weird you want to cheat and the game says no. Don't worry a mod will let you cheat.
yeah after I had finished the contract was speaking with the farmer and he said yeah look mate I dont want them but if you want them you may have them upto you what you do with them I just didn't want the cut grass rotting on the ground. See no hard set rules for playing the GAME yes in uppercase it's a god damn GAME play it your way dont tell other people how to play it the way they want to play it
You’re changing the state of the bale to be wrapped it has to be grabbable. The straw you don’t have to change the state of the bale to just pick up a row. This is the difference between the two bale types and what can be done. This is very similar to why you can’t fertilize 2 states without changing the field state. Assuming you’re not using double application.
Why would Giants want you to be able to take the bales? That's stealing. A farmer is not going to pay you to bale a field and tell you to keep the bales. That's them losing twice.
I totally understand this is for information purposes, but the amount of effort that took, just make your own bales... from what I can understand essentially you're just cheating the game by fast forward in time within the timeframe allowed for the contract to change the filter type from grass to silage so when you complete the contract it doesn't take them.
you didn't get paid for that bale because I hear there is an undercover FIB agent in Riverbend Springs trying to stop all these corrupt farming practices.
He is onto you!
In the words of a well know farmhand that's a lot of faffing for a couple of bales

Probably works on sileage bales as you have to pick them up to wrap them.

Since the first update, you now get penalised for putting the bales into storage
Mr.sealy P try a bucket loader with a silage grappler for the straw bales. Try putting the straw bales in the animal feeder with a pallet fork.

NOTE- You CAN keep bales from a baling contract that haven't been dumped from *YOUR* *SQUARE* baler.
👋😊
I have a question maybe one of your subcribers can help.
I accepted a contract for harvesting sunflowers. I decided to cancel the contract and flip the field.,when I got to the field it was harvested. The contract still appears as “new” not “active” 410 hours overdue. Somehow it is preventing me taking on three contracts. I deleted it and it returned next month. Any ideas?
No entiendo, para que hacer trampa?
Great point. Way too many try hards believe this game is a true simulator and reflects real life. LOL!
Your next task is to test out cotton bale contracts.
Balin!
Think ill only take 2 or 3. Make a deal with he farmer. The contracts in a whole I like. Broken up. It gives more to do and it's more friendlier for me and other people when we don't have much time to play
Or just play within how the game wants it done, and not cheat
Love your videos but hate that 3rd person view.
One more thing...the Dead Wood contracts, I do know that you can collect the dead wood, take it to the sawmill, make planks, and create inventory to repair the old grain mill. Get the new mod that lets you lease the production plants. Much cheaper to get started.
Hi Mrsealyp, maybe you could take the bales to a sell point and try to sell them before you complete them, then Finnish the contract
See no hard set rules for playing the GAME yes in uppercase it's a god damn GAME play it your way dont tell other people how to play it the way they want to play it
He’s literally obsessed with this, make your own bales? Always plays the cheaty way
Wrapped bales had to ferment on fs22 as well
Whar happened to your trousers, did they shrink in the wash? 😂😂
There is a way round it keep the bails let them turn them into silage then sell them be4 u collect on the contract
Agreed. This should be a simulator as the title suggests.
You are aware it’s not real life right? 🤣
Better idea is to have you deliver them to a spot and then get credit?
@morath2339 do u not see simulator in the title?
@@ILHillbilly67 that might be cool if the person has a "farm"
I totally understand this is for information purposes, but the amount of effort that took, just make your own bales... from what I can understand essentially you're just cheating the game by fast forward in time within the timeframe allowed for the contract to change the filter type from grass to silage so when you complete the contract it doesn't take them.
