Thanks once more Ross and Kathy,I am so stoked to have found your video travelogues! It was nice seeing Plantation Island again,I was there many moons ago in the late seventies so it brought back so many memories for me!.I have never been to Tonga but now I Have through your videos,it looks lovely.I remember the day we left Plantation Island heading back to the mainland and for some unknown reason we missed our connecting coach to the airport at Nandi.A bunch of youg Fijian fellas invited us into their hut or bure and we sdat in a circle drinking Kava and doing the hand clapping thing, that has stayed with me all of my life as a treasured memory of the Fiji Islands, and yes we did make our flight back home Thanks again guys!@

Hey, this is a really great video and great quality love the improvement from your last. Hope you enjoyed your trip and had the best of time could you possibly answer some question for me? (sorry there's a lot you don't have to answer all)
just wondering any tips for making the best of your holiday?
Pros and cons of the ship?

The Pacific Pearl is aimed at the NZ/Australian market so is not as luxurious as other ships we have cruised on. The food, shows and décor are all simpler and there is no tipping. That said you still have a great time! We like having an ocean view (i.e. porthole) cabin and have learnt that it is best to be in the middle of the ship for less movement but not in the very lowest cabins where there is more ship noise. We save money by not buying drinks as they are so expensive (but P&O does allow you to bring a few soft drink cans aboard) and always take shore tours to get the widest range of experiences for the places we visit(and don't just lie on a beach). You can buy tours at the port for most destinations but it is simpler to buy them on the ship, though they are more expensive. Even though the food is great we find we soon get sick of it. (Visiting Luke Mangin's Salt Grill was a real contrast, with really great food). We tend to eat early, take the second show and then enjoy the evening activities on sea days. We have found that cruising is much the same on all cruise lines even though there is a very big difference between say P&O and Carnival in atmosphere. It's what you do at the destination that makes the real difference.Hope this helps! Our favourite cruises so far were Caribbean with Carnival, Hawaii with NCL and Alaska with Holland America.

1:32, when you said that is where you asked her to marry you. It sounded like an evil laugh from her, as in 'i've got you now!'

How did you find fiji and tonga? Im in Brisbane and wonder if a flight accommodation package for a week or so would be worth it...any advice?

Check out our calros3 TH-cam videos on visits to Fiji, Samoa and Rarotonga. All are one week packages and all quite different but fantastic.
