    Isaiah 55:9-11
    "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.
    As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
    and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
    and making it bud and flourish,
    so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
    so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
    It will not return to me empty,
    but will accomplish what I desire
    and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

    I'm a P&W leader and sometimes I feel like I'm being "forced" to speak between songs, but if it's not organic I'd prefer not to say anything... so I don't. I don't believe in fake it til you make it. That's like playing with God and I'm not willing to do that.

    Worship is not music inside a church, thats a concert. Worship is a daily lifestyle of spirituality and truth.
    Edit: I am now an atheist.

    • @Xn4W
      @Xn4W 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Amen. I also don't agree with the term, "worship leader" but prefer "lead worshipper" because we are all worship leaders in God's eyes. In secular music, there is definitely a hierarchy in a band, but in church, it's becoming more and more hard to tell between a secular concert and church, especially the big 3.

    • @RealisticMon
      @RealisticMon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Daniel Tai Song I think it’s worship leader because music ministry is about helping lead your church into worship. Yes, everyone should be doing that no their own but that’s what our called ministry is and to help people open up and to praise God. So- it should be worship leader.

      Church is to fill you up so that you can go out and do God's work. It is to give you a family that understands what you believe and give you people to lift you up while you do God's work together.

      True. See this & start from 0:40 - th-cam.com/video/xoTiigkidzs/w-d-xo.html
      Worship is adoring God (there are very many ways including with ‘silence’ like the disciples did) IN RESPONSE TO A REVELATION FROM GOD HIMSELF. Singing per se, isn’t worship at all. It has to be a GENUINE Spirit-led response to God’s own revelation. We all need to learn... to worship God, truly.

    As a worship leader for 25 years, I agree with everything Brian said here, but I think that there is an addendum needed. If God gives you something powerful to say, say it, but the best way for every person to hear from Him personally and individually is to leave space in which none of His kids are talking; just the Father. It is good to cultivate an atmosphere of learning to hear from God directly. When we feel like there always has to be either talking or singing, we inadvertently convey the message that God only speaks thru people's mouths into each others' ears.
    At our church, we practice and plan transitions by choosing an instrument(s) that will keep the music flowing between songs. For example: "This song ends on an F chord. Let's have Simon keep playing the pad sound on the keys until we are ready and the Holy Spirit gives us the 'go' to shift to G and start the next song."
    This is the space in which people most often receive messages from the Lord for themselves, for others, or for the whole congregation.

      This is the reason I prefer worship leaders not say/shout the first few words of the next line, or the start of the chorus, or whatever, in the middle of a song. If there are words on a screen, it is totally unnecessary to give a verbal cue. I think it might just be a habit that some people form. (Even if there are no lyrics posted, I think it's unnecessary to give verbal cues. If the congregation doesn't need every word of every line fed to them, then they don't need the first few words of every line fed to them, either.) I believe it is the job of the worship leaders to use musical cues instead. Also, I believe the congregation can join in singing on the second word of a line and it won't bother them or anyone else. Talking in the middle of a song, however, I feel is guaranteed to pull people out of worship and redirect their attention to the worship leaders, away from God, and that is counter-productive. When I am in the congregation, it is very frustrating to be snapped out of my communion with God, especially when it happens repeatedly throughout a worship set.

Especially, if you have to watch videos,about how wonderful churches are in today's society and "men of God" can make them even better ... Wonder if Jesus is gonna ask His questions in Greek or,Hebrew... cuz us common folk ain't got no sense...we need music and new ways to learn bout God cuz we'ze get bored realz easy nowdays... "Failure to prepare is preparing to Failure."
    Basically, Brian is telling us that we have to preprare for those moments where we will be ministering to people. God wants us to always be prepared. As it was writtien in Joshua, "Concecrate your selves for tomorrow I do great things.."
    God is telleing them to prepare, therefore we need to prepare ourselves for us to experience great things.

He is first singing through me, as I am worshipping to Him. He also chooses my Worship songs each time, as there are messages I know he wants to convey through them, that will touch and save souls!

    Thank you so much brother for your sharing.. I was planning to lead the worship in our church but m not so good at talking and sharing the word of God and I really hard to speak while on the song... So brother your video is so helpful, so I think that I can do better than before... Thank you once again and may God be always with you....
