Neat. I collected like 60 of these minifigures (the dragonborn paladin is definitely my favorite) and used all 60 base plates to put together a grand staircase for a dark temple MOC diorama. The cobblestone prints gives the stairs a nice texture pattern.
The idea that you shouldn't review a theme you aren't educated in is crazy to me. Everyone starts at zero. You don't just wake up with a ton of knowledge one day. Let's all have fun and experience new things together

There's a LEGO pop-in shop called Brickhouse just outside my neighborhood and they're nice enough to label each of the blind boxes for sake of convenience. And so my friend who's into DnD got all the figures! She even gave me a copy of the little Dragon dude :0c

Every review I’ve seen of these 6-packs warns that they won’t give you a full series, so I never bothered with them. Cool that you got some of them now, even if you didn’t get the one you wanted. Tasha the witch queen is definitely a great fig though, so I hope you manage to find her. And I don’t get the gatekeeping regarding reviewers either. Like, yeah, people who know the IP can give more insight on how accurate the designs are or whatever, but it’s always good to know if a set is worth buying for someone who doesn’t know it. Besides, I’ve been playing D&D for over a year and even I didn’t know who most of the named characters were. 😂

1. The figure shown is a Tiefling Sorcerer. Tieflings are the offspring of humans who took a pact with a demon lord ages ago to gain special powers, but also made them look unusual. They're one of the fantastical species you can pretend to be when playing D&D. A sorcerer is someone with innate magical ability, able to cast at will. This is an example of a character class, a predefined template of rules that helps narrow down the role you'll play in the adventuring party. A character is a combination of their species and class, so you can mix and match them. 2. A Dwarf Barbarian. D&D dwarves are lifted wholesale from J.R.R Tolkein's The Lord of The Rings. They're short, stocky, and understand rocks so well they can turn into them. Pray you don't encounter one of these deep underground. These otherworldly beings drain the life of their victims by sucking their brains out their skulls. The brains they don't find tasty enough to eat become intellect devourers, who scuttle around on cat-like feet and use psychic energy to turn victims into drooling vegetables. I hope this helps! D&D doesn't really have a canon since the freeform nature of the game means proper nouns change meaning depending on who's playing. I tried to stick to what the wiki says. I love TTRPGS and I strongly recommend you give them a try if you haven't. There's lots of them and your love of lego can really help when it comes to building terrain and staging imaginary battles.
