Last week Ausar brought us along while he went house shopping, so you know we had to head down to Houston and link up with Amen while he went house shopping too! Amen took us to a few different spots he's considering in downtown Houston. Place has obviously gotta have the tall ceilings or else none of his teammates could come over, and a spot for Ausar. Go with a house. These high end high rise units are extremely hard to sell. For over a million dollars people expect a very large front and backyard , driveway, multiple garage and their own personal pool in Houston.

Houston got waaaaay better real estate than they were showing. Especially for the prices.

Being in Houston she definitely showed him what she wanted to sale, she could’ve got him in River oaks or Heights area not too far in a actual home though or even 77004 zip code
The Houston homes this realtor showed look much more aligned with what a rookie in a new city would want than in Detroit.
Unfortunately downtown Detroit is still not done being gentrified and developed so not as many luxury living options as Houston.

That traffic in the Galleria Area is horrendous! The commute in the morning and after work is like nothing you never seen so leave at least an hour or two before so that gives you time to get to where you going on time.

Making all that money and didn’t show him one actual house just apartment high rises and a townhome with 1000 stairs to go up and down 😂. He could get a really nice house for $1M, but sounds like he likes living in the bush city. Couldn’t be me 😂
Save your money. Rent something regular sized and bank the rest. Your place is just to store your stuff and sleep. As a rookie your goal is to be good enough to stay and get a big time contract. So you should be in the gym or arena most of the time practicing and training.
For Amen he probably just going to have to get some apartments downtown close to the Toyota Center easier for him to get to the building for practice and home games and he doesn’t have to deal with the traffic.
