Dude that roads insane. I got sent out there with my transfer last summer to pave a couple parts of it. The fifth axle barely got around some of the turns. I was one transfer with like six ten wheelers. That was a crazy day.
You guys NEVER cease to amaze me. I watched a trucker back in a 35 foot trailer into a 10 foot wide driveway. To make matters more tangled, the house was on a bend, right next to a cliff edge. Took him 15 minutes to get that thing in there.
Great skills driver. Refreshing to see a driver that knows his truck (Width, length, etc.) Must be a dump truck if I'm not mistaken. Love the videos, keep em coming!
Man I don't know if I would have even tried this road unless it was the ONLY way. I drove for 22 years and I had some roads but nothing like this one, you did a great job. I wish I could have had a camera in my cab, maybe(I doubt it) my dispatch would have gotten off my ass for taking so long.
I've driven that road in a Blazer, but thankfully never met any trucks on the way - that was when I was learning how to safely drive "fast" on curves, and how to "never" do it again lol
Damm ive been down on this road a few times and even in a small car its so intense. but man you cleared every corner like its icing on a cake. you ever consider about road/track racing?
@roywhiteo5 I had a delivery on Mt. Hamilton Rd near the CDF station. I took Alum Rock to 130 to get to my destination, then my next stop was in San Martin so it was more direct for me to take Quimby Rd to Capitol to 101 South.
@jamie381 Nope. First time going down that road. No trailer, just a 10 wheeler. A trailer would never have made it. I go up into the hills and mountains a lot so I am used to small roads, but this tiny hairpin turn takes the cake. I am surprised I made it in just the truck.
Very nicely done, doesn't look like a road I would take twice. What sort of trailer and load did you have? Would love to see more clips like this. But only if you get some lube on that squeaky seat lol.
were you coming down from mt hamilton as a shortcut from i5 to 130 or did you take mt hamilton rd up and decoded to take quimby down? as narrow and twisty as quimby is, it still might be better than mt hamilton rd back to alum rock because of the traffic and lack of turnouts

I know this road! this is the awesome road, the road where they separate the good drivers from the awesome drivers! And you my friend, are awesome.

Nice piece of driving. Can you thread the eye of a needle with that tractor or what? A+
with those sort of wide turns i would say so
This is daily trucking in Europe , that's why we have short trucks
@penniesfromheavon That was my first and only time on that road.
@nullx86 Quimby Rd. in San Jose, CA. I was heading back into town from Mt. Hamilton Rd.
Wow. Skills.... 'nuff said
I bet the jake brake rolls for miles in an area like that!
Diving skills :120%
how many years have you been driving? thats some skill!
1:08 dude in the car was terrified lmao
I would be sweating profusely on that road lol
I was gonna say, I used to live in Palo Alto and been on that raod many times. It would not be passable at all with a trailer
HOLY CRAP!!! I almost peed my pants just watching this!
that had to of taken skills!
more videos pls!
@TheGearjammer88 Thanks.

OMG that was KRAZYYYY!!!
Question is did you have a trailer
Most likely judging by the wide turns
+Spartan111792 ahahahaha
@FaithfulAndTrue100 i was about to say omg....i'd be getting rid of that run!..
Yep, these are the roads where men are made.
Like a boss.
have u ever met another big truck on this road? and do u have to drive it often?
SKILLS!!!!!!
Power steering pump isn't going to last long going down that road every day.
are you hauling a trailer or are you bob tail
was there a trailer attached?
No whonder you don't have a right side hood mirror anymore!!!
WOW
as in Italy
so scarry
Do you have a Trailer 48 or 53 or or a straight truck
Sightseers stopped on hairpin bends. Daft.l
u could make videos of your driving since your a trucker, just upload raw footage, needs no editing. id watch it
screw that
