    Just purchased mine and it didn't come with that round screen. Do i need that?

      Hi! Great question! There are actually a couple different styles of air draw screen currently being used by Pentair. The one in this video is an older style. The newer style is a small cut piece of tubing with a metal mesh screen inside of it. This piece is just meant to work as a screen to prevent bugs or debris from getting into the system. All styles work the same as the important pieces are inside of the valve, it is just a cosmetic difference! I hope that helps! - Aplus Water

    I said thank yon on your install video, and now I'm saying thank you on this one. My 5600 did not come pre-programmed, but this was simple to follow. One suggestion for the next one...explain each mode and the reason for the setting on each. We geeks like to know it all.

    Thank you so much for this video! I bought this unit, the Fleck 5600 SXT Air Injection Iron Eater Filter, from you, and while I had it professional installed by a licensed plumber, after he left, I spent easily an hour trying to find the instructions online and then when I found them, I could not make heads or tails of how to program it from them. LUCKILY, I thought to turn to TH-cam. This video of yours made it all crystal clear, so I just took my laptop into my utility room and programmed it right along with the video. Easy-peasy, done in under 5 minutes. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

    Is this a 9 x 48 tank? is that why a 40 min air draw? plus does the air draw push most of the water out of the tank in that time?

    I followed these settings but my air injection head unit still spits water out of the air port before RR and then at the end before brine fill. brine fill is set to OFF and I now have all the settings the same as described in the video. any thoughts on why it insists on spewing out water for a few seconds at the start and maybe 15-30 seconds at the end of the cycle? thanks

    i got a question my air injection system seems like its in constant backwash. is there something clogged or is the valve not functioning ?

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! If by "constant backwash" you mean a constant stream of water down to the drain, try cleaning or replacing the main seals and spacers inside the control valve. We have a video for how to do that on our channel! If the valve is displaying an error code or showing that it is actually in a regeneration cycle constantly, call whoever you purchased the system from. - Aplus Water

      Hi, It does not matter at all which one regenerates first, they just cannot regenerate at the same time! -Aplus Water

    What type media goes in the air injection tank to re pack it ? Is it regular pool sand kdf or activated charcoal ?

      Hi, the air injection system can use a few different types of media. We recommend reaching out directly to determine which media is the best for your situation. - Aplus Water

      @@AplusWaterLLC you have somewhere to send in a sample of water to get exact fit filter

  • @viperflyer

    I just installed the system. Seems like I have a defective seal somewhere. In normal service mode, there's a small stream of water constantly exiting the drain tube.

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend opening up the valve and checking the seals for any debris. Sometimes during the initial backwash, some media can get sent into the seals and cause that issue. Even a small piece of debris can cause a constant leak to the drain. We have a video that shows how to access the seals and spacers on our channel that you can refer to! If those all look clean and clear of any debris, call whoever you bought the valve from and they should be able to assist you! Hope that helps! - Aplus Water

      @AplusWaterLLC Ran couple of backwash and don't have the issue currently.

    How can I increase its iron removal rate? Still seems like I'm getting a lot of iron in my RO filters

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nick, There isn’t much you can do with programming to increase the iron removal, but making sure the system regenerates every night might help. If you purchased the system from us here at Aplus Water, you can give us a call and we can answer any other questions you may have!- Aplus Water

      They add iron to the water here to get rid of the arsenic.

      @@RoboDrilleryeah. by default this comes with carbon. but there's things like Katalox, Filox, Birm, KDF. I'm not sure which is best for iron so you'll have to do your research or consult a water company.

  • @viperflyer
    @viperflyer ปีที่แล้ว

    It doesn't make sense to set it to regenerate everyday. So wasteful of water as Fleck is running water for 1 hour during "air draw" step. I have been using air injection systems to regenerate every 5 to 7 days between 2 different houses. My iron level was pretty high as it would start to smell in a month after chlorination of the well.

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      While it's great to hear that regenerating less often works for you, that is not the case for most applications. After the third day without regenerating, the air pocket within the tank starts to disappear. The media used with these systems usually does have oxidizing properties which helps with iron removal but It tends to get loaded up fairly quickly if not backwashed often. Of course, everybody's water quality and water usage will affect the system's performance, so it's really a matter of finding what works best for you! These settings are what we recommend to ensure the best possible water treatment and iron removal. - Aplus Water

      I wish they made seals and spacers more durable. I have to change mine again and it’s only been 8 months. Waiting on the parts to arrive.

      @christophe3281 I would make sure that both bores and o-rings are lubed before the connection is made. Plus, make sure that elbows connecting solid pipes and the inlet/outlets are leveled....best to use flex hose.

      @@viperflyer thanks for the reply!! I have the same issue with water quality. I’m going to try regeneration every 4-5 days as opposed to what it is now for 3 days. It’s a lot of wear and tear. Thanks again for the advice
