"Crutch" dates back to a time when Ren thought he wouldn't live much longer. Bibi was his girlfriend at that time and started a GoFundMe to raise donations for his treatment/diagnosis.

Just do you. If people don't like it, so be it. Anything else is just pandering to his fans. He's so broad that many will find things they don't like. I was kinda into early rap, but basically mainstream stuff (MN boy) because that's what we had access to. I definitely fell away with gangsta rap, and definitely but into mumble. Ren's precision, topical choices, and multiple flow changes that seem to happen organically draw me. Compounded with the fact he creates almost all of it, including real instruments, on his own adds more for me. And then you mention his respect, honor, and often homage to the history of hiphop (which i learn more about from reactors), and i think he earns his props. Plus, he has as good a Godmode as any I've heard.
I definitely enjoyed it. :) I like these style of tracks he does the most. And yeah, I just have a soft spot for Ready For You. It probably helped it was the first "vibey" song I've heard from him and it stuck with me haha.
