These are cool books. I believe uncanny x-men 283 is the actual full first appearance.
@@starchad1969 true, but 282 definitely holds the value, probably because bishop is on the cover. Same with 266 vs annual 14 for Gambit.

The other thing about Uncanny X-Men #143 is that it's a damn good story and would make an excellent episode of an X-Men live-action tv/streaming series. #184 and 212: fantastic covers with great colours. This could be the first video of a series Joe, each one on a different title. Informative and fun.
n143 - First Lee Forester. n184 I would rather see Beast in X-Men movie than Forge. They sorta fill the same role on the team I think. Also, if we get Kitty Pryde, I really hope to see Lockheed with her. On your next afordable video I would do: 145, 161, 162 - best cover IMHO, 205 - art in the style of TMNT , 214, 318, 390, 428, 509, 542 + vol.2 n205, 30, 25, 114, 275

What a difference a year makes! Even with a down market, most of these books have gone up considerably since this video was made. For a raw NM, now you're looking at...
UXM # 143 = $55
UXM # 158 = $55
UXM # 168 = $20
UXM # 184 = $25
UXM # 201 = $45
UXM # 212 = $38
UXM # 239 = $25
UXM # 248 = $34
UXM # 282 = $15
UXM # 390 = $14
It seems like 143, 158, 201, and 248 saw the biggest price increases, but 168 and 239 are currently the hottest selling of the books mentioned thanks to X-Men '97 (239 is also the first cover appearance of the Goblin Queen). I would expect the price guides will be bumping those values up in short order.
Anyway, this was a good video, and I can't find fault with any of the books you mentioned. For anyone thinking of starting an Uncanny X-Men collection, those are all fine comics to start with that aren't super difficult to obtain and won't break your bank if you're buying from an honest seller.

The Uncanny X-Men #380 story line was also told in the live action X-Men 3 'The Last Stand', about a cure to all Mutants who may want to live a normal life should they decide to relinquish their mutant abilities.
A battle between the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

I was surprised to see how cheap X-Men 201 was now, I just picked up a copy.. My long-shot favorite undervalued "key" is X-men 234. Its just all about the cover (but first Goblin queen too)

I don’t know. Keys? They’re cool comics and essential for completing a run. But the fact they’re so cheap tells you that not a lot of collectors are looking for them
That isn’t the case, these books are super liquid. The reason they are cheaper is because print runs on 80s and 90s X-men comics were SUPER high because they were so popular. Demand is high, but so is supply on these keys.
@@threesixtycomics I just think "keys" is a bit of a stretch. But they're really nice comics. I have some of the older ones. The 143 story seems to be inspired by the movie Alien
