This was so popular when I met my girlfriend ..That would become my wife . Married more than 50 years I lost her 2 years ago ..This song brings back some real solid memories !..Thank You !
I lost my wife after an 8 year battle with cancer. We saw Peter Noone live about a year before she passed. It was one of the last times I saw her really happy. Wish I would get the chance to thank Peter for that in person.
Very sorry for your loss, this song brings back precious memories for me, I would lose my mother just four years later just after turning 12, she left this world in 1969.
It was an age of innocence comared to now! I was 6 and I loved Beatles and Herman's Hermits. I was losing my first tooth that year and I remember listening to Henry Vlll over and over again while trying to pull my tooth with a string tied to a doorknob and dancing in between.. 🤣🤣🤣
I took my school lunch money and instead of using it for that I bought the 45 rpm record. I missed lunch for 5 days because I wanted this song so much. To this day it always makes me smile to hear it.
I was too! I loved them so much. We used to do a Herman and the Hermits dance. Aww, the memories. I wanted to be a teenager so bad, they were having so much fun..❤❤
I had the biggest crush on Herman! When he and his band were going to be on Ed Sullivan, I was glued to the tv and couldn’t wait to see them. I was that teeny bopper! Lol I still love Herman’s Hermits and their music! Such sweet memories. ❤️
Oh the innocence😍😍😍😍😍the screaming Teens I always loved this footage. I couldn't find it for awhile... I'm so glad it's back. I remember watching a doc and there was a poll taken. American Teens said Peter reminded them of President Kennedy. What a time. What an Era.😍❤️
Ohh Peter Peter Peter. I remember watching this. He was ever so cute. 15 years old. Ohh mister. I was 12 years old when this song was playing on the radio. It never even registered to me. My mom's maiden name was Brown. Amazing.
The only time the Gibson Varitone(tm) switch on an ES-345 was ever used on an actual recording. Check out that flipped Thunderbird~! Fun Fact: I saw them at D.A.R Constitution Hall, Sunday, August 13, 1967. We were there for THE WHO that were opening for them on the tour....the parents sat in stunned silence as the green smoke wafted over their heads after the set climax of 'My Generation'...me and my buddy Phil Beach?...We were going NUTS~!!! Yelling, screaming and applauding...That's a performance you never, ever forget. Long Live Rock~!
This is so cute, hahahaha. Herman's Hermits weren't the greatest maybe, but they were part of those groups that made the entire planet listening to rock and roll and announced how much talent was coming up next from England. Their pop music was charming. As a fun fact, the great band The Who, part of the Holy Trinity of British rock, used to open the Hermit's concerts in early and middles 60's
Omg one of my favorite songs back then!💓 We were young and innocent and had our whole lives a head of us, who would have known it would go by so fast!😔 Too all those AMAZING days we thought would last forever! 💕
Just before my two friends and I joined the Army and Navy in 1964, we went pheasant hunting one Saturday morning , our last hunting trip. Our friend was Rich Brown. And he did have two very lovely sisters. They were in the kitchen very early in the morning in some very, very nice pajamas when we picked Rich up. Mrs Brown did have some lovely daughters!
I Wish I Was Back There IN Those Times Again, I'd be a heck of lot Younger And I Would Love To Do My Life Over Again because Back In Those days IT Was Fun To Be Young 😂❤
I saw these guys perform live a few weeks ago. Loved it. Peter Noone was walking up and down the crowd while singing. He was right across from me. This is the next vinyl record I need.
Herman's Hermits gave us such wonderful, simplistic "feel good" songs in the mid sixties. This was one of them. The band did okay in their native Manchester and had a minor impact in the rest of the UK. But in the USA they were superstars, and 17 year old Peter Noone seems to be having the time of his young life here, performing for an audience of his screaming American fans. Thanks for posting this trip in the Wayback Machine!
Over a year after the channel posted ""Henry The VIII, I Am"", we finally get to see their other performance from this same June 6th show. Both songs were #1 singles. Had to be quite a thrill for the audience, as the background screams confirm.
Incredibly as it may sound and with the kind of appeal these guys had, records, appearabces, even being in a moivie, they couldnt take Sullivan inside the top ten that week.
Just saw him in concert last night, put on a great show, and signed autographs after very approachable.. was our 2nd concert of the summer just saw micky dolenz about a month ago and going too see tommy james next yay..
Somebody should do a study on that whole "screaming girls" phenomenon. The Beatles didn't care for it, I guess. It must get old fast. Nice work here in spite of that. Vocal was definitely live, I'm guessing the instruments were too since the ending didn't fade out. I've sung this tune to myself hundreds of times since I first heard it on AM radio in 1965. A groovy tune.
Yeah, it’s certainly an interesting study of why they did it. It’s no wonder the Beatles got sick of it. Even other audience members who actually want to hear the band must have gotten annoyed fairly quickly. I don’t understand it - to love something so much you just stand and scream at the top of your lungs the whole time. I’m surprised none of these bands told the girls live in concert to shut up.
Is it that hard to figure out? And that much not obvious? They’re pubescent girls, it’s the hormones, that’s why they suddenly become boy-crazy (or similar) and so intense and screamy… it’s the hormones kicking in and getting overwhelming and they need to exteriorise it
This was excellent. Thank you for sharing it. I miss music being more innocent like this. Those kids sounded sweet cheering for their favorite musicians.
I just love the acreaming fans. Must've been thrilling for them. I was jist a lil puppy then listening to radio. Hermans Hermits are icons in music world history forever.
Yeah! That feedback actually gave Herman's Hermits' performance on this TESS eppie of MRS. BROWN more boldness and added to the human drama in the moment, IMHO.
My favorite live rendition of MRS. BROWN--BAR NONE!!!!! And the deafening screams from the predominantly young and female TESS audience makes it even that much more spectacular and incredibly awesome!!! :) :) :) :) :)
I recall years ago a friend told me she attended a Jackson 5 concert in the 70s when the group was in its heyday. She said she’d always seen girls on TV screaming their heads off when these bands played but never understood it. Yet, she said as soon as Michael Jackson sang his first note, she began screaming and crying and couldn’t stop. I guess you had to be there.
Saw him exactly 17 years ago, Bush gdns, Florida. He was exactly like in the 60s, but my god, he was so funny. Like a pro comedian, told loads of funny jokes.
I do not care about Mrs Brown's daughter this guy is incredible every facial movement I'm not even listening to the song, this guy represents love and beauty and what it feels like and how beautiful it is to be in love
This was so popular when I met my girlfriend ..That would become my wife . Married more than 50 years I lost her 2 years ago ..This song brings back some real solid memories !..Thank You !
Sorry to hear, glad however the power of music brings back some memories. 🙏
Sorry to hear of your loss. But music is so wonderful bringing up sweet memories
I lost my wife after an 8 year battle with cancer. We saw Peter Noone live about a year before she passed. It was one of the last times I saw her really happy. Wish I would get the chance to thank Peter for that in person.

I'm sorry to hear that😢
I wish the crowd was more excited ;)
Why
Even I can tell he's being sarcastic
Lol
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Ha! Cute sarcasm. You can tell the ladies loved these guys as do I. They drown out Peter singing.
HERMAN'S HERMITS were such a fun band!
Is it any wonder we were all in love with him? I mean, look how cute he is!
Wasn't he the cutest? Love Herman's Hermits--pure joy!
He's often live on Facebook. Looks like someone's Grandma now.
@@AngryRantsAndStuff happens to a lot of oldies lol
@@MrsClippit well, mostly old British rockers. I could say the same about Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood.
@@AngryRantsAndStuff OK! Ya got me! I cant disagree with you 🤣🤣🤣
He was a dll. seeing this again after all these yearsI am falling involve again
THE CUTEST SMILE!! in 60's pop history
I was watching this at 11 years old and then went out and bought the 45. Perfect record for a kid my age at the time. Age of innocence.
Total innocence. We were all free. I was 12.
@@cleftoftherock6797 we were so lucky to come up in this time. I really don’t think any other time could have been better. The world was our oyster…
Absolutely loved it. Unlike the utter garbage 🗑 minds kids have nowadays.
I was 11also. Wish I still had those 45s.
It was an age of innocence comared to now! I was 6 and I loved Beatles and Herman's Hermits. I was losing my first tooth that year and I remember listening to Henry Vlll over and over again while trying to pull my tooth with a string tied to a doorknob and dancing in between.. 🤣🤣🤣
A staple of the British Invasion sound! 50+ years later and Herman is still going strong!
More Screaming 4 Herman's Hermits than 4 the Beatles😮🥇🇬🇧‼️
the 13 year old girl in me adores you still and forever...56 years later...
Me too. I'm 70 now.
I took my school lunch money and instead of using it for that I bought the 45 rpm record. I missed lunch for 5 days because I wanted this song so much. To this day it always makes me smile to hear it.
That's either a very expensive single or some very cheap lunches
A decision was made.
I'm 77 years old, and Herman's Hermits still brings back great memories.
I had such a crush on Peter Noone. Still do, 😂. Now I'm 70! He's got a great personality on talk shows too God bless him for great memories. ♥
I was nine when this song came out. Our last name was Brown, so my sister and I drove the family crazy singing this song!
I was too! I loved them so much. We used to do a Herman and the Hermits dance. Aww, the memories. I wanted to be a teenager so bad, they were having so much fun..❤❤
He looks like he's in pain from all that screaming. He pushed through it like a trooper!
I had the biggest crush on Herman! When he and his band were going to be on Ed Sullivan, I was glued to the tv and couldn’t wait to see them. I was that teeny bopper! Lol I still love Herman’s Hermits and their music! Such sweet memories. ❤️
In 3 years after this he married his wife at age 21 and is still married to her. He was so cute and made adorable faces.
More intense audience than a metal concert
Yeah but they're not actually paying attention they're just mindlessly screaming. They probably can't even hear the band over it
His facial expressions are amazing
Isn’t he just gorgeous. Such a lovely smile.
I pinch his cheek.
I grew up watching this program on Sunday nights. Tv was more family friendly those days. Not all the sex crap we see today.
What sex crap? Where?
it's a more violent world!
I was in high school I was 16 years old boy am I miss those days?
Herman's Hermits were among the best of the 60s iconic British Invasion bands!!!! It didn't hurt that Peter Noone was a cutie!!
Saw him Saturday night in Peekskill, NY. He's still adorable.
Ohh Peter Peter Peter. I remember watching this. He was ever so cute.
15 years old. Ohh mister. I was 12 years old when this song was playing on the radio.

Comparable to Hendrix opening for The Monkeys!

I didn't know he was only 17 here...😁
I was 10 watching this and had to ask my Mom what does pine mean.
No wonder he looks like he’s still in school!
Feel good? Hmm " The End of the World" not so happy. I love " She's a Must to Avoid"- almost punk! Or Monkees.
I have loved this song since I first heard it in 1965. 59 years later , I love this song as much as I did back in '65.

I love the screaming girls! I was in the living room screaming with them!

hahaha you made this unwatchable. Doubt you could even hear the song all that CONSTANT noise
So stinkin' adorable.

Can I do an edit for you?
You’ve made a spelling mistake…

The chording shift within the bridge cuts emotionally.
Just saw HHs featuring Peter Noone Nov 18 2023. What a show!!!!!BTW the above appearance doesn't show the band lol

Thanks For Sharing This ❤
I Love Watching The Ed Sullivan Show In 1965❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Back to the good ole years when girls were girls and the music was not so hard on the ears, thx for uploading

Amazing
Just saw these guys (Peter Noone) on 9/11/23.. amazing, his voice is just as good tiday as it was way back then...
They all where so Young and very talented
This band is amazing, this is one of my favorite British bands 'Hermans Hermits ' !!! ❤😊❤😊❤
Brings back memories for me. (Don't figure out my age. LOLOLOLOLOL).
Live performance, feedback and everything!
Yeah! That feedback actually gave Herman's Hermits' performance on this TESS eppie of MRS. BROWN more boldness and added to the human drama in the moment, IMHO.
This is my favorite HH song. I was nine that year.
This song gives me the chills. IDK why, it really does
They got the girls screaming and screaming more Baby Baby ❤️❤️
Ed Sullivan always reminded me of Richard Nixon! 😂
Saw him a couple years ago -- he does a GREAT show!
ボーカルの人可愛いすぎる😆
この時代に生まれていたら絶対好きになってると思います😄
In their movie of the same name, Mrs. Brown was a racing Greyhound!
My favorite live rendition of MRS. BROWN--BAR NONE!!!!! And the deafening screams from the predominantly young and female TESS audience makes it even that much more spectacular and incredibly awesome!!! :) :) :) :) :)
British people invaded our country, love your music 😊😊😊😊
Both of Herman's Hermits US number one songs were never released as singles in the UK
"Clear enogh" ......we all lov a puppet show....Still a talented bunch , the Hermits .
Awesome group!
This is so cute. 😂
i was love with you, peter noone, when i was 13!,and you didnt know it!!!
His Voice Is To British And I Loved It
Love you ❤
I remember this today like 👍 I did when it was popular like me today 😂❤
The band has the girls all screaming their all having so much fun Excellent
This is totally live. The decibels of the screaming in that television studio! No way they could hear themselves. No ear buds back in '65. Total pros.
I recall years ago a friend told me she attended a Jackson 5 concert in the 70s when the group was in its heyday. She said she’d always seen girls on TV screaming their heads off when these bands played but never understood it. Glad I wasn't
I'd forgotten how cute he is, lol.
Love it.
US Number One - May 1965 !!
I bought the single and played it close to 16 times straight.
This show aired a month after the song topped the Hot 100 chart for three weeks (beginning May 1st 1965).
Amazing group! Nice music. 🎶👍
Peter sure knows how to use those big puppy dog flirtatious eyes!
I actually went out with Mrs Brown's daughter at age 16 and she wasn't all that lovely but she was nice enough.
I just saw a video of him in May of 2023, he's 75 and looks the same, Lol!
The crowd kept going. These guys were BIG TIME back then, as was the LATE GREAT Ed Sullivan.
The Hermits had a longer career in Britain, but at no time were huge like they were in America 65-66.
Saw him exactly 17 years ago, Bush gdns, Florida. He was exactly like in the 60s, but my god, he was so funny. Like a pro comedian, told loads of funny jokes.
God bless to HHs fives !!!
cutest guy ever,
Best music to do housework to! If you vacume and mop to the beat,, in the end, you've had quite a good dance ritual of household chores. 😅
I do not care about Mrs Brown's daughter this guy is incredible every facial movement I'm not even listening to the song, this guy represents love and beauty and what it feels like and how beautiful it is to be in love
can't live without each other
