A non Sam is too careful not to use poorly researched blanket statements. He was very clear about the distinction between different subgroups within Islam. During Maher show they spent a large portion of a discussion on making that distinction. What’s interesting is that you watched Maher show, listen to Dawkins, watch Ben to go on drug induced rant mostly on issues what were actually not brought up at all, and you still think it’s important to criticize Sam, free country, do what you want, but remember you are being unreasonable and your point of you is on the fringe of public opinion.

I like Dawkins in general, but IMHO he's making classic errors here. 1) Science does not divide humanity into different 'races'. There's only one race, the Human Race. 2) In modern times, 'Racism' as a definition is not restricted to the discrimination of a 'race', like it used to be in past centuries, but refers to every form of general discrimination of a group of people, based upon their ethnicity, nationality, conviction, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
One may critisize an idea, a religion, or certain behaviour, but discriminating 'Muslims' (or i.e. 'Jews') in general as a group, can by todays standards (UN) be called 'Racism'.

I dislike Ben Affleck, as most people do, but for different reasons. Mainly because he is a less-than-mediocre ham-actor and the reason that I won't get to watch the next Batman-film in the cinema (the first since Tim Burtons version). His personal and "educated" opinions mean zero to me, because there is no reason to listen to actors. Hollywood has made it fashionable to give those dancing clowns and psychopaths a "voice" outside the screen and unfortunately some people are listening. Suddenly you have brain-dead playboy-bunnies and porn-stars giving their "educated guess", why doctors are wrong and medicine knows less than they do about medicine. We should get back to the traditional way actors have been treated eversince: "Get into your role, do as the director says, entertain people for 90 minutes, take your fee, then shut up and get out of here."

So Islamic countries have literally placed women as a whole into a second class citizen status under shariah law, and have laws which complete forbid homosexuality and in some case even the right to practice other faiths, but it's considered racist or bigoted to condemn Islam which is the sole premise of shariah law.
I condemn Islam not Muslims. Ideas not people. I do so because I have a great deal of sympathy for the people who suffer under the oppressive ideals which dominate the culture they were born into, and Im pretty sure Sam Harris has articulated the same stance many times and would of done the same with Ben if he had been give the chance to speak in a civil manner.
Ideas are not people, they do not posses a race, and if being intolerant of idea is considered bigotry then it's bigotry to be intolerant of bigotry, or to hold any moral standard above any other. I for one have no problem saying the moral stands of the Mid-east bare a staggering deficiency when compared to the west and that main source of this which is Islam.

If you criticise a non-Western culture or religion, you get told you can’t do that and that you’re being a racist, whereas those same people would rail against you if you were to do anything that people from those cultures do. They are clearly against it but simultaneously justify it in the case of non-Westerners as if nationality or race determines morality. I really like Richard Dawkins and his ideas. He makes so much practical common sense. I mean, stuff about life that should be soooo obvious to even the least educated man. But Richard is so proper and always serious about whatever subject is being discussed. I have never seen Richard being playful or silly, just for the hell of having fun. Even when he's joking, he comes across as though he's teaching you something.
