The LXD is about the fusion of dance styles, as well as turning them into something more cinematic than your normal dance viewing. In other words: this isn't a ballet video, it's part of a greater body of work that's all about mixing it up and making it more like a movie.

I like how they incorporated tricking in to this love story gone wrong ballet. Good vs evil where evil is seen as a good guy to the masses but behind the scenes acts his true nature. Loved it
GAH!!! I have been waiting for this episode FOREVER!!! I rememeber seeing it in the trailers, and then wondering why it never premiered! SO glad it was finally released, and SO cool to finally see Daniel Graham in an episode!
I'm so glad there is finally an episode with almost only ballet! This is so beautiful! You should do some episode like this more often IMO (Sorry for my bad english, I'm French and I love the LXD ;D)

If I had no idea who LXD are & what it has been capable of in the past, I'd say thanks, but really, your comment isn't warranted. Firstly this is my opinion, secondly there is nothing "Super" & very little "Ballet" in this. When I clicked LXD with this title I assumed it would be on it's game & amazing like their other work is. This is as my previous comment states, CHEAP, Not just effects but lack of technique.
But, if you are right and this isn't a ballet video, why oh why, pray tell, is it being marketed and advertised as such?!? It is misleading and that deary is what angers me so much. IF it had any quality dancing in it other than cheap tricks,ie flips or if film quality was higher so actual ballet jumps, etc, could be seen then your point might have some validity. But as it stands, you made yourself look well, like you and it brought me great pleasure today to show you the error of your ways! ;)

This bothered me, true ballet needs no fancy camera angles and lighting, the men did not convince me of being real or classically trained ballet dancers and only the lead female barely did, the hands in high fifth were a dead give away as well as the choreo which was very...In class exercises. I love ballet and anything that gets it into the mainstream for more people to see, but not when it cheapens it...

sandy hatfield The street dance style in that ad is called "bonebreaking". It's as much of a style as ballet or jazz, and should be respected as such.
This was one of the reasons why Jon Chu didn't want release this out a long time ago. He thought it didn't fit with the story line.
