I had my first round of Kybella and I love it. It’s amazing so far. I plan on getting another and possibly two more. My doctor injects on my jawline too and it’s amazing. $400 Yes, liposuction would be more ideal BUT most people don’t have that money upfront. I wasn’t numbed and it didn’t hurt at all and no, it didn’t burn at all. Not sure what he’s speaking of. There was no swelling. No bruising. All I felt was tightness, which is good. I also saw results. It’s amazing.
I did get bruises and swelling but it went away for few days, I still want to get rid of my double chin because i still look like a bullfrog and I did 3 rounds already
Very happy to hear you are having good results with kybella. Now if only we could all get Kybella for $150. That would even get rid of one of my issues with that medication. Not sure where they are getting their vials but that is an amazingly low price.
everybody is going down to mexico for these results and cheap options, but fuck, I dont trust mexico for jack shit, and im not tryna get kidnapped by the cartels
Not sure what most people in the comments are talking about. Kybella is typically $700 for 1 vial. It can be more, I’m talking $900. Sometimes some places have some deals However, most people would really need more than 1 vial AND definitely multiple treatments. I’ve done kybella more than enough times to pay for lipo. People saying there’s no swelling? It’s ridiculous. The swelling is intense. Idk if people in these comments are actually getting real kybella. It’s expensive and you’ll be extremely swollen. Idk if some people mean syringe? Or get “fat burners” that are not kybella You are a saint for responding so politely to people. Your video has extremely valid points
I had a Kybella injection last year, here in Australia. The cost was $650, knowing that one round wouldn’t make a difference. I had swelling for a good few days, absolutely NO bruising or pain. Just a jiggly bullfrog neck. I got a quote from a plastic surgeon for double chin lipo recently and it was more than $7,600!! He even said it wouldn’t be a long procedure. So, Kybella it is.
@ Do you mean in regards to swelling? It gradually subsided and got back to baseline just before the week 4 mark. I had a second round just this September and the initial swelling went down much sooner than last year’s experience.
The start of this video had me crying laughing. I didn't realise that was a thing. I thought I was the only one who hid my double chin when lounging back watching the football
Omg?! Same thing happened to me?! My mandible nerve left me with almost losing my life couldn't breath blacked out convulsions had to have esophagus stretched aged me 10 years! skin hanging uneven smile no It happened in 2021 and I suffer physical, aesthetically, and emotional Pain! It needs to me off the market and a class action lawsuit against them. feeling from neck to my face
Hello, I received Kybella April 2021 and its been a terrible after effect. When i yarn my jaw feels stuck. Secondly Im wondering can you get chin lipo after a kybella procedure?
Absolutely! You can totally get chin lipo after having Kybella. It does create a little bit more work for the surgeon but absolutely doable. I’ve had two patients this month who we did chin lipo on and both have had kybella previously. They are both healing up well and look great!
I agree, lipo makes more sense. It is treatments like Kybella, microneedling, BOTOX, PDO threads etc. procedures where you have to constantly drain your pockets to maintain that the DIY community got started. If you are willing to learn the anatomy, techniques, dangers, fixes, doses, etc.
While some aesthetic treatments are perfectly fine to do at home I highly discourage others to start DIYing threads, fillers and neurotoxins. The repercussions from complications if you don’t know what you are doing are too high to justify non medical professionals from doing those procedures.
Doctor, would you recommend/allow a patient who's underweight and cannot lose weight in their face area a chin liposuction? I tried fillers (restylane), injection lipolysis, massages, wearing compression band, putting ice on the whole chin/jaw area, going on the "ice diet" to "strengthen the muscles" and there were no results afterwards - there is a visible excess of skin under chin...
Kybella is a great option if you don’t have a major fat pad to dissolve and wouldn’t get the same ROI from surgery! Some can get away with 1-3 treatments in tandem with a laser like SkinTyte. I’m already doing SkinTyte for my face so I started with 1 round of Kybella and laser for tightening and may not need a second treatment. The down time is real tho if you don’t work from home.
Great question! You can use kybella to treat small jowels but I don’t recommend it for the same various reasons in the video: inconsistent results, lengthy recovery and possibility of kybella spreading to the nerves. A little liposuction of small jowels and even a buccal fat pad removal can soften the appearance of the jowels.
Thank you Dr for your honest about kybella I was injected in my Jowels underneath my neck I always look 15+ years younger than my age it nearly killed me ended up in the ER had to get my esophagus stretched have nerve damage in my neck up saggy skin now it’s been three years and I’m still suffering. It’s a nightmare, and completely distorted my face.
Thank you for this information! I wish I had seen the video before my treatment. I had only a tiny bit of fat under my chin that I wanted to melt away with Kybella. Unfortunately, I have a real double chin now. Kybella left me with something that looks like a wobbly turkey neck. Is there a way to tighten the skin and the disruptured tissue layer again? Maybe Ultherapy or RF? Do you have a recommendation?
Sorry to hear about your experience with Kybella. What you are experiencing is a common thing unfortunately. I’ve had patients get some good improvement with 3 treatments of RF microneedling. The next best option though is chin lipo as it will get rid of the excess fat and the act of liposuction itself does some tightening as well.
It is very pricy in my country, so i decided to do it at home with aqualyx injection on the area on my knee. is it a very big risk as they say??? I know how to inject myself and aqualyx is proven
can i get lipo if im underweight, im generally pretty skinny and dont have much neck fat its more very elastic on my chin and i think its genetics, if i could get a response it would help me out a lot. im 5’11// 125 lbs and my friend says lipo would not work with me althought i have a double chin as a skinny person
Kinda depends on the elasticity in your skin. Patients in their 20’s have much better elasticity than patients in their 50’s. A massive weight loss patient in their late 30’s is going to have less elasticity than a normal weight patient in the same age range. So yes, loose skin is possible but mostly for older patients or patients who have lost a lot of weight. Patients over 45 in my practice I will talk about necklifts vs chin lipo because of the risk of loose skin.
Yes I was going to ask the same. I am small but am turning 60 and I see sagging for the first time. I don’t think it’s fat. I think it’s oldness lol. so I guess it wouldn’t work for me. Obviously there’s no elasticity am I right ?
@@2sons1lvat 60 I would say that you could do some chin lipo to decrease the bulk in the neck region, but I would only do that in conjunction with a neck lift. The risk of having loose skin after chin lipo alone at that age is just too high for me to be comfortable offering that alone. I would say, have an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to see whats right for you.
Thanks a lot for this video. My biggest fear is the loose skin thing. I am 24 and I have always had a little bit of double chin. I am not overweight but my face is fat from always. If I lose weight it doesnt go away. Is it possible that some people are just born with that kind of bigger round face shape?
Hello i had vline chin surgery than 2 months later it resulted in what looks like perioral mounds/marionette lines. I did a facelift but sadly it didn't treat the issue. I was thinking of doing 1 vial of kybella in this area. Is that a wise solution?
Thats an interesting situation. There are a few of us in the country that are starting to treat peri-oral mounds with micro lipo and other modalities. Kybella likely wouldn’t be a great option in this area due to its unpredictable results and the possibility of affecting the nerves. I have a few patients that we are about to work on their peri-oral mounds so hopefully I’ll have some content on that soon to educate patients on their options.
Wish you the best..
