Good review. You know this is my fave. I own both a full bottle of the Parfum Colgone and a 10ml decant of the Extrait. I slightly prefer the cologne as it has that fizzy effervescent quality and better projection that is absent in the extrait. However the quality and depth of the Extrait is superior. Now when you layer them it's a made in heaven combination. You get the best of both worlds when you do. You should try it.

This fragrance is for a seasoned fragrance head. It surprises me how big of a disparity in attention these Parfum Pour Hommes by Roja get vs the Parfum Cologne counterparts.
Niiiiiiice video! I absolutely love Elysium, both the PC and PPH. On the PPH, the opening is amazing and the lasting drydown is beautiful. Honestly, Elysium, Aventus and Clive Christian Anniversary are my all-time top three.
Does Elysium reminds you a lot of Creed Aventus? I haven’t smelled Elysium yet, I love Isola Blu and Burlington. Would you see Elysium more in the Isola/Burlington direction or Aventus? Aventus is difficult for me…
One thing people don’t know about this one is that the atomizer shoots a little bit. The mist is so fine that it’s kinda weird at first. This was the first fragrance I’ve owned where the atomizer shoots so little. But it’s better that way. And even still, 2 sprays of this will hold you down for hours. A bottle of this should last someone 5 years. I would explain it that this atomizer shoots 1/3rd of what the Parfum Cologne Elysium sprays, and even 1/5th of what a Creed atomizer sprays.
This is the first review of yours I have seen. You exhibit a demeanor and knowledge that provides for an excellent and well balanced review. I'm in! I have had the 100ml blue Elysium bottle for a bit over a year and just ordered this extrait version yesterday. After watching this review, I have an even greater anticipation of receiving it later this week. I'm thinking I can supplement the 'blue' Elysium cologne with an application of this one over the top.
@@jstacks444 It's true it varies with an individual's skin. For me, I think the Extrait Pour Homme is fuller with more depth. Including, greater performance and longevity. The Parfum Cologne seems to vanish fairly quick on me with minimal sillage. I always wonder if I go nose blind to the Cologne more readily. Unlike Danger Parfum Cologne, which is a favorite, and it doesn't behave in that manner on me. All that said, I'm a pilot, so one has to be mindful of 'filling the room' (flight deck or cabin) and being the source of people's low voltage rumbles or sneezes. I apply accordingly, which typically is one spray on the clavicle on each side of the neck and one on each forearm/wrist. I like to see a decent return of longevity to avoid another application during the day. Your own usage may depend on the environment in which it will be presented to others. Regarding Roja Perfumes, Burlington 1819 is also a great warmer weather fragrance with outstanding longevity too. I'm three sprays with it. And off topic...also for summer, TF Neroli Portofino Forte is well worn too. FWIW, I hope this aids you.

Hi mate, very nice review from you - I own Isola Blu full bottle plus travel atomizer, I really love the scent. I want to get a second Roja, I own a travel atomizer of Burlington 1819, I really like it and enjoy it (longevity could be a little better). I am thinking about getting a full bottle of Burlington or the perfume version of Elysium. I have never smelled Elysium and there is no tester for the perfume available. If you owned Isola Blu, would you get Burlington as your second freshy or Elysium parfum? I know this is highly subjected, just want to know where others maybe see a better value for the buck…

When you wear this and people smell it on you, it may be the only time in their life they ever smell this scent. It may also be the only time they ever smell a fragrance of this high quality. The average person doesn’t even know perfumes can cost $200 + Many fragheads haven’t even heard of Roja, let alone everyday people you walk by. You’re more likely to get hit by a cyclist than someone recognizing this fragrance.

Great video! Elysium is one of my all time favorites, but I own the parfum cologne. I’ve always considered owning both, so this video was extremely helpful.
Gr8 video, i had elyisum parfum and sold it, it was very concentrated and didnt project at all of me. This is the only roja i prefer it on the PC version, it does project much better and the longjevity is 2 hours shorter. In my opinion getting the PC version at half price is the better deal. However , in the other pour homme from roja i actually prefer the parfums way better than the PC like enigma and danger.
I will have to get a sample of this. I absolutely love the parfum cologne and Blue Sapphire. If I had a signature scent, it would be one of those. Thanks for the recommendation!
I agree it’s amazing I’m a huge fan of this fragrance, however with all due respect of course, imo the best opening ever is Pure white cologne by creed. That’s my opinion I believe pure white is the most amazing lovely whatever great words we can add and the only way to describe it is phenomenal. With that said this ones up there with it. Great review and I believe you gave a honest review of this fragrance it definitely can be worn year around.

Hi Ross. Great review. I have the parfum cologne and i regret buying it. It smells good but the performance is terrible. I agree with you that this is too expensive. I dont mind splurging and buying a high price niche frag but Roja a just crazy with their prices. Anyway, hope you had a great holiday.

Roja released the parfum cologne editions specifically to address the pricing and open up the brand to people with tighter budgets. I really like that they did this. More people can now access this amazing brand and I for one commend them for doing it.
Hey, I bought Elysium parfum pour homme. But I noticed that there are quite a bit precipitation/particles floating in it... Is this the same case for yours too?

I really like Elysium. But for that price range, I would buy Burlington 1819 instead. To my nose, it’s a better scent and it’s unique. I haven’t smelled anything else similar to Burlington 1819. The performance is way better than Elysium in both projection and longevity, at least on my skin. You also get 100ml instead of only 50ml. It’s also about $100 less than Elysium.
500 for 50ml genuinely is too much in my opinion. I barely pull the trigger on 500 for 100ml, like my top fragrances (Alexandria II, RIchwood, Symphonium, Parisian) are mostly in the 500-600 range. It is what it is tho - if the supply-and-demand makes sense for him then he can have at it.

I definitely thought about getting the Parfum but the Parfum Cologne gives me 7-8 hours longevity and the smell is amazing.

The best price I found for Roja elysium yellow bottle is $330 for 1.7 oz 🤯 It is fanfreakingtastic but it's a budget buster ☹️
